Was Commie found at Walmarts inside only the eBayer cups? One of my stores is still sitting on a bunch of late Series 2 cups.

     Thanks, my head just exploded, now I wish I never sold that first red sparkle Commie. Having both versions of that rare will be something to shoot for.   After doing some checking in what I have it would seem that the longer tagline is later as I went back to page 10 Scot has a picture of a multi-pack with long version bottom left. I still have yet to find my two sets, but I am assuming at least one would have the variation.

It's the flip of that, the short "Red Stain" showed up very late.
The original tagline is in all three waves, from Target (1/21)  to multi-pack (3/21) to Walmart (4/21)
But I've only found the Red Stain version in the later Walmart (8/21) that had ebayer and minute mud included.

I don't believe there are two versions of the black or red sparkle, as I think those were only in Wave 2 which did not have the change

I've opened four other ebayer toppers, and none of those had one

What's with the sticker?  Your picture looks the same, just light and dark.  Is there a text difference there, too?

Yes, they both have the altered text to say Red Stain

Interesting find on the Commie variation!  Since I've been scouring every damn Walmart, it seems, in the state of WI for series 3 cups, I've seen plenty of leftover series 2 (and not a small amount of series 1).  Not sure I want to spend any more money on any of these series, but now I'm very tempted to pick up a cup or two and try my luck.  I wonder if there are any cups with Commie showing from the final series 2 release

     Wow, best offer taken. was $143. I wonder how long prices on these will remain. I have had no luck finding one yet. Having gold Windhex and the red sparkle Commie I was thinking I had the set complete and now this pops up.

It went for $143?!  Wow, that's more than I would have guessed by far.

I did stop at one Walmart today and bought a cup with Minute Mud showing (figured it was all pretty random and at least I'd get a MM out of the deal).  No Commie in the cup, but I did get both a Slacker Jack and Sweathard, so it wasn't too bad a turnout.

Interesting development here.  Who checks their mini's to find these variants???   I have checked my pile of S2 Stickers from the Ebayer / Minute Mud Cups from WalMart and all three Commie Stickers are the older standard stickers. No Varis.

Don’t know of any

As I posted earlier, I found one in an eBayer cup, but I’ve now opened multiple others without a hit.
The only sure thing is if the Commie is the topper

I know a collector with 5 Commie Vari Mini's who sent me one. So they are out there.  Now to find those two stickers......

Thanks!  So the Red Stain minis and stickers are the variants.  I will look to see if I have any available for collectors.

They pointed out how they had two different minis, where one had a different tagline. 

After reading subsequent posts, it is apparent that the "red stain" version came after the original original version.   Which begs the question, why did it have to be changed?

This hyper-sensitive world is getting more and more ridiculous.

there's both a variation sticker and a variation version of the variation sticker

I haven't heard of a variation version of the standard sticker.
but folks may want to check for that

Just got word that Series 2 can now be found at CVS. My friend purchased a cup with Barnum's Manimals as the topper ; which we never saw at retail as the topper in the WalMart wave..

I’ve also read of some Big Lots having S2 multipacks. I’ve never found these either

I stopped by my CVS again today, and this time they had the Minis
And here's a pic of the toppers of one of the boxes of 12 they had!
the other box had hits too, but not like this.
Basically every hard to find mini from the multi-packs, all in one shot.

CVS was good to me today. Purchased 22 Cups. 1 complete 12 cup box and another with 2 cups missing. Got 1 Cup with Red Stain Commie on Top, 1 Red Stain Commie , A Red Stain Commie Sticker (Dark) and a Black Red Stain Commie.   Lastly, I was able to talk both stores into selling me the cups for $2.99 each as they would not scan and I told them I wanted to buy them all and get them out of their store. Since they would not scan they liked that idea. I told the second store that mgr in the first store down the street just did that for me. Try that angle. Very happy about this haul. Now to find the Light Sticker Version of the Red Stain Commie.
