I use what I call “The 500-800 Rule". If you try and keep both dimensions (vertical and horizontal) in that rough range, you will be OK. Sometimes it’s difficult or not possible to set exact dimensions when you resize, but you can always right click on the resized image, then Properties, to check it afterwards. For reference, your original image had dimentions in the 2000-3000 range and Sue Mee’s resize dimentions are in the 600-900 range. I really don't know what I'm talking about, technically speaking, but from trial & error and observations, that range seems to work well.
