Irish Wackys Versus Actual Packaging

Hi, all.  I don't post much around here, but I thought I would share with you some of the products for the Irish set.  I used to live in UK, so I was familiar with these products and got a kick out of the Wacky versions.

Very cool!  I don't think a dog food named "Chum" would do well in the U.S.

This is awesome! I was considering doing a parody to real product comparison in the other thread, but this completes it already!

I should finish up the list - which was a bit of a challenge.  I could only find the German version of Trill budgie food.  And the stork margarine and Dulux were really hard to find.

The fun thing about Dulux paint is that they used the company's mascot in the Wacky, even though its not on the packaging.

The only product I’ve seen here stateside is the Dunhill cigarettes.  I used to see certain UK brands for sale back when I was a smoker.  Rothman’s was another one, if I remember the name correctly.  But my favorites here are Long Line beer (those tiny people remind me of Czechlets) and Doglix - the pooch reminds me a bit of my little guy.

Any USA artists worked on this set? The artwork is pretty good...

I’ve always had an affinity for certain titles in this set. Kick Kat, Hate and Kill, Kill, etc. Aside from a few 1985 titles, these are the best from the 80’s in my opinion.

Good stuff!  Thanks for posting these.  I've always had a soft spot for the Irish Wackys, even though I didn't know any of the products (well, except for Kit Kat).  I used to own the original art for Doglon, which I still think is a great Wacky.
