Based on corners, I'm seeing some PSA 6's in there.

But the seller states it's a very High grade set and with those milky with backs surely they must be higher than PSA 6's... I'm confused now ? A set of this caliber must be worth a king's ransom... what would you suggest as a winning bid to ensure a win on the auction... I was thinking in the $500.00 or would that be to low ?

Don't miss out on this incredibly VERY HIGH GRADE set with such amazing centering :o Please check out those amazingly high detailed pictures in the binder sleeves... and the tops of the first row cutting off those sharp corners... I'm sure It's purely unintentional !

It looks like a nice raw set, and it's an auction, not a crazy BIN.  What am I missing?

I would say the extreme sarcasm.

I don't see the point of the sarcasm, quite frankly. Regarding the first, "bad" picture: you're only missing the top two corners of Lavirus. I feel that more times than not one would buy these auctions in hopes of scoring the big four for cheaper than usual, with other more commons as a small bonus. At this rate, disregarding the other two titles on the top of the first image because they ultimately are irrelevant, you can see literally every corner of every other piece of the big four. This includes Bandache, the toughest one; also looks like a clean copy in this auction. In the end, you can come to your convictions as to where you grade these cards and the Lavirus but I am sure

a. he'd provide you with a better picture need be
b. whoever buys it knows what they're getting into.

This is an overused joke at this point. Also, why not post it in the "Are these people nuts?!?" thread if you're gonna make a big deal about it?

Perhaps it is the identity of the seller that caused this type of post/comment.  Seems somewhat unfair quite frankly...

I see round corners, browning on edges, I would be shocked if ANY cards grade PSA6.  The seller is smart to say very high grade which is completely subjective more so than saying near mint to mint as there are zero grading guides out there that would align this set with near mint to mint.

you are kidding right?  The notoriety of a seller shouldn't impact the assessment of items he is selling?  Really?

Precisely.  The items for sale should be judged on their own merits...or lack thereof.  Caveat emptor.

I actually pass my classes. Valedictorian, to be exact. No summer school for me, sorry.

I didn't mean to upset anyone, I just see no need for the over exaggerations made on this thread like it's never happened before.

Also, you quoted Bigtomi instead of me. Not sure if you're asking him whether or not he's in summer school; I can't speak for him.

OK......yeah......I'm in summer school. I'm the oldest kid in the class, too....embarrassing.   :P

Congrats, Mark! Sounds like you're due for an OS puzzle again, like I gave you when you began high school. LMK which one (besides 16, lol) you want.

The first thing I noticed was how dirty the backs of these were.  For me, that is a killer.  But those are not high grade in anyone's book if you ask me.  Unless you think 5 or 6 out of ten is high????
Still looking for Series 17

Definitely not "very high grade", but surprised it only went for $199.  Even mid-grade, seems like a bargain for a decent starter set w/Bandache.  Terrible description, though & reminds me of some Wacky traders I once knew who also needed glasses.
