another week of great titles, and Darren's concept is beautifully done, congrats!

Agreed, top notch stuff from Darren!

I think this week's set is dedicated to mutt lovers!

Wallet fatigue.  I truly hope they will pause the Weekly sets until January or February so we can have money for Halloween and Old School, or they might find sales for all three lower than expected, and our great new Wackys get cancelled because we don't have bottomless pockets.

Or better yet, just let us buy what we want instead of letting us guess what we'll get so we have to seek that in the secondary market.  Even for us one pack buyers, we have to guess if we'll get a Wonky or a Guest Artist card, will we get a coupon (and which one - ludlows add no value), but with the shipping delay, you don't know for 4-5 weeks.

Hopefully their tolerance for lower sales is there. I recall the On Demand Trump Cards were selling less than 100 and still plugging along.

I hope so, too.  And I hope any drops in Postcard and Old School sets will be understood and forgiven.

the GPK weekly sets have been consistently under selling Wackys by >200+ sets, and I don't believe those are stopping any time soon.
Should be a strong indication that Wackys are in a good sales position and will keep going too.

...  Perfect collation, 10 packs yielded one of each coupon and ludlow, along with 5 GAs and 5 Initials.  Also, each pack includes an 8th card, which is a checklist for July Week 5.  Much better packaging this time - they're wrapping as many as 4 packs per bubble envelope!  So, for the 10 packs I only have 3 bubble envelopes.  Way to go, Topps!!
...

Just received my August2002/Week2 order today with the same results. I applaud the efforts to cut down on excessive packaging and certainly enjoyed getting a full set within the 10 pack order. Keep it up Topps! And thanks to whoever here may be relaying some of our feedback to them.    :bravo_2:

well, received my August Wk2, but did not get a full set of coupons.
reduced packaging was nice, but lack of complete set is still annoying

Received August week 2. It took 15 weeks, but I finally got a complete set of coupons and Ludlows. Also, my package didn't have any reduced packaging, though.

I think I may never get my August week 2. It left Florida went to Connecticut then to Virginia to Arkansas, then Texas and now is in New Mexico. Doesn’t the driver know that to get from Connecticut to Virginia you usually pass through NEW YORK.  I am getting sick of all this.

That's CRAZY!  I thought it was only the USPS that was getting messed with, not FedEx.

That reminds me of an old Hallmark funny birthday card that said "A List of the Top 10 Things that Make Absolutely No Sense". No. 9 on the list was 'You have to connect in Chicago to fly from Denver to Dallas."

Also would like to report that I did receive a complete set of Ludlows and Coupons in August Week 2.

Fed Ex Smart Post has been driving me crazy over the past few months.

I had this mental image of you finally receiving them, opening the box, and finding travel decals and bumper stickers all over the Wacky Packages.

I did also. I just hope these don’t go to Arizona like week 2 did. Maybe I’ll get all 3 weeks on the same day.

I'd personally love to see us talk more about the concepts, which ones
you loved the best, what tickled your funny bone, etc.

We seem to be focusing on collation, the card backs, even the occasion
gripe about pricing, and we should get back to what we love about
Wackys in the first place, the humor!

I loved the Sea Monkeys concept, I always pictured them as Punk Rockers!

Great idea by "guest artist" Pete Zies, too!

What do you all think, without being too negative, let's stay positive and
embrace all the Wacky "Wonderfulness" that we've had and continue
to do so?

Well said Paul! As for concepts, i think we're getting spoiled having several really top-notch writers in the mix! So, hats off to you, Pete and the others for creating the framework for some really memorable titles!

I agree, and am hoping that there will be a break after September so I can start a thread for us to really look at the Weekly titles.  But, we're at something like 100 new titles coming at us like shotgun blasts.  I haven't even been able to sit down and actually enjoy them.  July isn't even in pages yet...............

So, my August Week 3 and Week 4 orders shipped the same night.  At about 10 last night, Week 3 was in Edison, NJ, and Week 4 was in Bordentown, NJ.  Week 3 arrived today, but Week 4 only went as far as Edison  :-\  At least they're showing Saturday delivery.

So, Week 3 again had perfect collation  :great: :great:  But, they switched back to individual bubble wrap bags for each set

Did you mean August weeks 3 and 4? I think someone earlier just got a september week 1 shipping notice.

I received my August week 2 finally after traveling all across America. I also received the August week 3 set. Perfect collation for week 2, only double in week 3 was a ludlow. Week 4 for August is on its way along with Sept.week 1.
