5 sets of Week 4, 1 Wonky (not showing on the bottom).  Now looking for Week 4 coupon back #18 and I have an entire set of all five Week 4 Ludlows available to trade.

I'm one for four.  I guess they'll be sending me down to the minors soon because I'll probably hit the Mendoza line with June week 1 and drift below with June week 2.

What's the Mendoza line? Never heard of it.

There was an infielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1970s named Mario Mendoza. He was a good infielder but a terrible hitter (which was pretty common in that era). As a result a batting average of .200 is called the Mendoza line.

Two surprising pieces of Mario Mendoza trivia -
By the time his major league career was over, his lifetime batting average was actually up to .215
He was elected to the Mexican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame

Mario Mendoza was a very familiar name to me in the 70’s as I seemed to get his baseball card every year, but I hadn’t seen Pirates games enough to know that his BA was so consistently low.  By the time the term “Mendoza line” came into vogue many years later, I had no idea what it meant, and I had no idea it was a reference to Mario.  I guess he was a fixture in the Pittsburgh infield to have a card put out every season, but I’m also sure there were several other middle infielders from that era who flirted with BAs approaching .200.  Only in the modern era do we expect shortstops to hit .330.

I’m sure baseball fans have noticed the vintage games that have aired on tv while the current season is in limbo.  The other night MLB channel aired a Tom Seaver no-hitter from 1978 and it blew my mind to see something from that era that you never see today - batters who wore their soft caps underneath their batting helmet during an at bat!  Sooooooo corny-looking!!!! But a super cool little quirk from the MLB of childhood.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2020-Topps-Wacky-Wonky-Packages-SSP-Crying-Baby-Rant-WP1-SUPER-SHORT-PR-88/164253684590?hash=item263e48536e:g:caIAAOSwFbFe7W0l

I don't know how reliable this is, but this seller on eBay writes that there were 88 WP1 Baby Rant cards printed and in another auction states that 74 WP4 Top Slob cards were produced.

88 seems low for the Baby Rant from the results of forum members whereas 74 seems about on par with 1:10 odds.

My guess is he's just using the 1:10 ratio from the print run.  However, the very bottom of the auction description shows that he's found a way to slowly get rid of a few of his extra base cards.

All orders over $100 will get extra Bonus/Free Sticker

I've received 3 packs for 4 weeks and not one Wonky. Having to pay $100+ on eBay means it would make more sense just to buy 10 for $150 from Topps. Has anyone bought 10 in a week and NOT received a Wonky?

I’ve received 1 or 2 every week in the set of 10.
There’s going to be some screaming if a bundle won’t produce at least one wonky

Mine stays ‘pending’ until the day it’s finally Out for delivery, then it gets updated to that day.

Apparently, I didn't place a second order for May Week 4, or, if I did, it died in the ether.  So, I'll look through my extras and the requests I've received, and do what I can.  PMs should go out shortly.

On the bright side, My June Week 1 is on the way, and I did those all at once.

Got my shipping notice for my two week 5 packs. Saturday. Last week it said Sat but they showed on Friday.
Hoping to score a Gatorage Wonky. I think that is the best one yet!

That's cool! Which set did it come with? I've so far received all of the May sets and did not get any artist cards like this one. Are they randomly being distributed?

Robert’s is in the first week of June set.
I haven’t heard distribution ratios yet, and it’s either this or the Wonky in a set.
I’ll bet it’s likely in the majority of packs.

Anyone else having a hard time ordering from Topps now? I'm getting Internal Server Errors on their website.
