Here's my two for this week. Sore Boy is from an old rough Jay and I worked on together. Gang Scouts was a rough I had submitted along with Ghoul Scouts but a different cookie flavor. Both were updated to the newest packaging from the old roughs.

So are the wacky monster backs an additional back or do they replace another back?

Replaces the basic puzzle back. (My take on it)

I guess that makes sense rather than having a 4-piece puzzle.  I'm assuming there's still a checklist on the back of one even though I didn't see it.

So I wonder if there are five different back variations for base each sticker, or is it one per back and no checklist?

Topps isn't saying:

Configuration

• 5 base stickers
• 2 chase stickers - (1) Red Ludlow Back OR Coupon Back, (1) Wonky Packages OR Guest Artist of the Week

Subject List

•21 Tattootsie Roll
•22 Sun Chimps
• 23 Gang Scouts
• 24 Sore Boy
• 25 Neck L Nip
•Wonky: Cyclop Sikle
• Guest Artist of the Week: Viceine - by Chris Meeks

• W-A-C-K-Y sticker backs!

I guess we'll just have to wait about 6-8 weeks to see.  Ah, that brings back memories of all the TV commercials that always said it would take 6-8 weeks for delivery.

The Monster Initials backs are AWESOME! I bought an extra set just so I could have that group as the lead-in display page for my weekly series binder! Also loved the Cyclops concept - better than the original!

I love the Mom tattoo too.  You should've made it say "Mother" and then hidden the "er" beneath the packaging so it would resemble Bart Simpson's interrupted tattoo.

Wait, wouldn't the Wacky Initials have to be on all 5 backs, meaning no checklist?  I really like the Wacky Initials and wouldn't want to get only 1.  But I also like the checklists.  Either way, it looks like a great set, but I do wish we could get all 5 WI backs as well as a checklist.

At first I thought there were two Wonkys this week. Tattootsie Roll reminded me of Footsie Roll at first.

As a kid I used to buy these in a tube format.  You got five tubes about the same shape and size as cigarettes, joined together with wax but in a way that you could pull them apart and drink/chew each tube separately.  There was also a little sticker card in each pack, with a corny little graphic, in red and blue ink I believe.  Maybe called Slurpees, not sure.  I also remember the bottles being sold loose as penny candy.  The pack you see here is the only way they’re still made today that I’ve seen, but I’ve only found them in a store that specializes in nostalgia candy.

I have to admit I haven't watched the Simpsons in years, but that sounds like it would've been really funny! Do you have a screen shot of Bart's tattoo?

I haven't watched The Simpsons in years either.  I seem to remember Marge asking Bart after pulling him out of the tattoo chair, "is that what you wanted it to say, 'Moth'."  I used to think The Simpsons was the funniest show on TV, but then it either got childish or I matured.  My all-time favorite was in season 1 when they paid  Dr. Marvin Monroe $250 for family harmony - "nice hair, Mom!"  I really can't watch it anymore.

July week 4 sales of 755

Significant drop. Possibly due to how much easier it’s turned out to get the Wonky cards?

I did notice they took the WP image off  the front Topps page a few days earlier. Bumped for extra baseball card stuff. Maybe that hurt a little.

Or maybe all of those eBay sellers aren't getting buyers, so they've stopped buying - or moved to the minis instead.  I would bet most of us on the forum are still buying what we've always been buying.

Honestly I think 755 is a pretty high number given the prices.  Hank Aaron would agree, but maybe not Barry Bonds.

The GPK weekly sets are around 450 so it's still a fantastic number. I'm sure Topps would have been happy with 450 consistently.

I most certainly don't account for the entire difference, but I've cut down since July Week 2.  So many people don't want to buy the singles if they can trade, which I totally understand.  But, I can't spend for postage to trade for stickers I don't need or want, and am tripping over excess Wackys.  This is not something a non-dealer like me should have attempted  :-\    I shall not make this mistake again.

Might cut down further for August, will wait and see what next week's offering includes.

Yes, that’s what I remember the loose bottles looking like.  Never really had a name for them except ‘wax bottles.’  As for the other image that Scoot posted, the shorter group of tubes on the right looks like an exact match in terms of size, but the cello graphics look different.  I think the items shown are from before my time.

Jason - your candy site’s been quiet for a long time.  Have you shown everything there is to show, got bored with it, or just busy with other pursuits?  Just wondering.
