You know the more I look at this sketch the more it looks terrible. Notice the sketch lines?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Wacky-Packages-ANS-7-Sketch-Card-BAND-Ache-Zapata-/380270110161

It's just a drawing of the wacky card and nothing added. I love Band-Ache but this one is way over valued.
I also am noticing not as many sketches showing up. We had an initial rash of them and now only a couple.
I ended up with 3 total and they are fantastic.

It doesn't look like he put a lot into it.  I've seen pictures of some of his GPK sketches and they're quite good.  Someone buying this one is probably more interested in getting one with his name on the back.

I'm starting to think Dave is right about only seeing about 50 or less sketches. It seems to have dried up a bit.

Yeah, the initial burst was simply because all the dealers opened up their case supplies right away. A normal amount was found within those and hit Ebay. The rest are all sitting on store shelves or being bent up by little kids (except for the artist's returns which will show up soon).

Any idea how many we have seen so far (that have surfaced)? I would guess maybe 25 out of 300, or 8%?

Yet we see handful's of past LE PC sketches popping up and going for decent coin.

That's because those were all bought by collectors and dealers and you got one with each order. The ANS sketch cards are few and they are randomly inserted into packs so they could be in anyone's hands or never even found.

To be honest I have not been keeping track of them and I'm not sure what the final number of sketches is.

We should have done a better job of keeping track. I would say around 20.

Don't be hyper about this.  Remember, my prediction is that it will take plenty of time.  Excess supply will be dumped to market at some point and soon it will prove cost effective to kill packs.  Spike, then a trickle of these and then down the road, there will be spikes again.

I've got pics of 17 so far (all from ebay I think, plus the one Rob pulled), but I'm a week behind on ebay checking.  I'll try to snag the more recent ones tonight.

Here's a new one
http://cgi.ebay.com/Topps-ANS7-Wacky-Packages-Sketch-Zapata-Slaytex-1-1-/320596131216?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa504bd90#ht_600wt_920

I don't like this one as with the Band-Ache. Both of those sketches looked rushed

Here's another, this time by Jay Lynch.

That must have just been listed. I think it's too much for that sketch although I do like that Wacky!

Two Slaytex sketches in one day, one by Zapata and one by Lynch.  Now we know that particular Wacky titles were not artist specific.

Yet someone has bid $499 on the "rushed" Zapata sketch, suggests $489 buy it now is a "bargain" for the Lynch sketch, no?

That's right, I do have the Old Spit in my pics.  When we add the two Slatex sketches, looks like we have 23 so far.

Just out of curiosity why do you think this one is over-priced?  I think any of the ANS7 sketches at less than $500.00 is a pretty good deal.

I think it as more of a personal observation for what I would pay for that sketch. Who am I to say what people would pay for a sketch because these are so unpredictable. For me to buy it the price would have to come down a bit because of the lack of detail and uniqueness.

I would say that's a $200 to $400 sketch at auction. Must be a good customer discount for some prior deep pockets purchases. She just outbid me last night for the JM21. I went as far as I could justify, but it seems that when she wants something, she gets it without looking back.

I like that one. I think my favorites are the ones where Jay just goes nuts. I wonder if it's one of his characters from somewhere else.

I was going to bid on that one but it had been pulled before I had a chance. I have picked up 8 OS sketches, each under 7 dollars, in the past few weeks. They have all been commons, but I really enjoy Jay's simple, clean line drawings.

Hi everybody, I'm new to the site.

After finding a shoebox of old wacky's from my childhood, I went out and bought some blister packs from Toys R Us and pulled this sketch by the Zapata Bros.

LUCKY! I have bought tons of ANS7 and still have not pulled a sketch. I'm starting to believe the feeders don't contain sketches.

That's killer!

Plus, you got an extra bonus because that's probably the only sketch card with the word "realy"!
