Abut ten years ago at the San Diego Con, Me, Bunk, Pound and Strephon were there promoting the Silly CDs cards.  Gene Simmons showed up in street clothes, and we gave him all the Kiss parody stuff we did in that series.  He really seemed to dig it.  So I think Kiss Kat is safe.   He's part of that generation who grew up with the early MAD comics.  So I would guess he's more open to parody than say Frank Sinatra would have been.

WOW!!!!!!!  That is a masterpiece!  Thanks for the high res look at this gem.  I like the gag, and from the wrapper shading to the way the edges are done, and then of course the fantastic cat, it's just awesome.

Really, you get to appreciate the art so much better blown up like that.

I agree as well.  Right now this one is probably in my bottom 20%.  Adding the kids back in would have moved this one a lot higher on my list for ANS7 (more like top 20%).

Yeah, this is exactly how I am feeling about this one. I do love the artwork on the lid, that helps drive home the gag too, but the addition of the kids on the table would of been great. I don't see it as being too cluttered that way.

My favorite top 10 of this series are: (In no particular order, too hard to decide)

Just for Wolfmen - immediate reaction of "WOW" loved the gags !
Hunks - Usually do not like when a product is parodied too much, but this is cool! Would of like the other tomatoe holding the mirror like the sketch - sort of a metro man, but still very nicely done.
Burnt Bee's - nice to see a spoof of this as it has never been done before - great gags and artwork of Burt and packaging!
Pinkies - Reminicent of the Original Series. Nice
Sno-Saps - Cool
Chickless - Funny
Ghoul Scouts - Nice. Didn't hit me at first then upon further examination it is great. Love the gag's on the box side, just like O.S. days.
Kiss Kat - Very orginial
Mountain Dude - Something about that guy on the skateboard is too funny

All in all this whole series has some great work in it. A very nice balance of gag's, artwork and not too cluttery.

I really like the dorky faces on the chips, and 'Dippy Chips' is a great line!  The foil bag and crimping looks nice - I'd love to see a larger image.  What's the odd shape at the top supposed to be?

That weird shape is supposed to be an "electified chip" or something. The funny thing about the Doritos package is that they're constantly changing it. And I think they have like 80 flavors! Even while I was painting, they changed the Cool Ranch package. Originally, it was a baby blue, but then they made it darker and gave the "Blazin Buffalo & Ranch Dressing" the baby blue. Aaaghhh!

Mark Alfrey did the Choppertone painting. I don't think Brent did Mouse Mix or Mrs. Blabberworth. Mouse Mix like the same painter as Iris Stings and Crispux. Blabberworth looks like Smokin Joe.

You are correct Dave, I did not paint Mrs. Blabbermouth and Mouse Mix.
And for the record, I'm not sure who thought of the Twitley Tea concept.
Meowsporin is a Smokin' Joe concept.

Thanks for posting the rough, Dave. I originally pitched Crimetapp for ANS5, and it was tentatively approved then, but Topps wanted some changes that we didn't sort out in time for that series. I dusted it off for ANS7 and Dave helped to make the gag make more sense.

Fred came up with this gag and I asked Jeff to paint it because I liked it so much. The sticker seems a bit faded.

I have indeed uploaded tons of photos and videos but it's only 40 bucks a year for unlimited photos.  It's a great service.

Mark Alfrey did the Choppertone painting. I don't think Brent did Mouse Mix or Mrs. Blabberworth. Mouse Mix like the same painter as Iris Stings and Crispux. Blabberworth looks like Smokin Joe.

Dave, who is Jason Edmison?  The few he did have very nice detail.

It's actually Edmiston with a T. He's a graphic artist who works in magazines. His has that photo/ caricature style that is used in Entertainment Weekly, Time and stuff like that. I really love the Clunky piece. It's pitch perfect and really beautiful. That was by far his best one for me.

The detail on Clunky is fantastic! I love the shading and scuffs on the actual weights on the bar bell.

Instead of separate galleries. all of the ANS7 images are here now -  http://tinyurl.com/ANS7-Gallery
