I guess it's just an oversight, but the checklist card says series 2 but the page says series 3.

It did not work at all last time. Seemed like random packing of the 5 base cards.

I'm expecting the same random packing this time, but we'll see.  At least we know we have a good base of forum friends to trade with!

strange. This *is* the third set, so the page is right. A 10 card set in 2018 and a 15 card set in 2019

although, checking back, the exact same thing happened with the 2019 set -  the sales page says Series 2, but the checklist card does not.

Only Neil can answer what is correct.

(Image removed from quote.)

The mistake on this set is on me. When we launched the 2019 set,  it was the first use of a checklist , so I figured it should be called "Series 1". But because of the previous set, Topps was correctly calling the 2019 set "Series 2". Hence the mixup.

In any event, the 2020 set has been corrected to "Series 3". The website should be updated today.

Checklist image has been updated to show ‘3’

My takeaway from all of this is that we need to have a checklist created for the first set. 😁

I got 10 packs. I should get a base set out of it.

Mr. Camera, I saw your old school MAD magazine spoof, "MARS",  on Instagram. Reminds me of their 1997 spoof of the movie, Marred Attack." Not bad.

So I just went to order four packs and pay with paypal.  However, Topps wouldn't let me pay from my paypal balance.  It was only giving me credit card and bank withdrawl options.  Anyone else have this issue?

I let Topps know and they're checking into the issue. I'd recommend trying again tomorrow afternoon.

I got the opposite transaction - paypal took the payment from my cash balance instead of my paypal credit card! I was going to use my cash balance to pay on something else!

Thanks for looking into this, Neil!  I just tried again a couple times and couldn't find "pay with balance" anywhere.  So strange!  Not a huge deal, of course, but I have hundreds of dollars right now in paypal balance that I like to use for just such purchases.  I'll try again tomorrow and just pay with my cc if the balance option doesn't present itself.

Thanks, Neil!  I would certainly guess it's on paypal's part, not Topps, but who knows.

Thanks, Neil!  Just ordered four packs now.  Haven't gotten a confirmation email, but it all looked like it operated as it should.  Thanks for working on that (and, of course, the set)!

Crackedjerk, I never got a confirmation email either, when I bought mine last Thursday evening.  This is somewhat strange since Topps has always sent a confirmation email to me immediately after I bought from the web site in the past.  I read the info on the page rather quickly because I was so excited about ordering this set, but I THINK it said that emails would be sent when the orders go out with a tracking number.  Just to make sure, I went to my account page, and the order was listed, waiting to be processed, so I guess it's just a new procedure by Topps.  Now I just hope it doesn't take four weeks to process!

Just ordered four packs!  Whew, I almost missed this one.  Been swamped with a project and haven't been on much since the holidays.

This set looks like another big win!  So fantastic!!

I also thought that Topps didn't send out my confirmations, but it turns out they were in my Junk folder.

Thanks for the heads up!  I would have suspected the same thing, but as Rawgoo noted, it was indeed in my junk mail folder.  I wasn't too worried but am glad to have it.  Yes, let's hope for some quick delivery on these!

That's great news about the quantity sold!

I'm curious, does the number of sketch cards determine if/when there is a sell out?

Seems logical.  I wonder what they'll do with any left over sketch cards?

I hope they'll all find their way into collectors hands! If not, I have a few blanks available, so if any wants a custom commission, send me a pm and we can talk details...

Mars sightings are always welcome here!  I hope you have "sketched out" a good plan for this release.
