Wacky Packages T-shirt
« on: January 05, 2019, 05:12:34 PM »
I came across this today:  https://www.rageon.com/products/wacky-packages?gclid=CjwKCAiAyMHhBRBIEiwAkGN6fNfq15LP1UOHOHIGXjPQJh8ro7NTznv3WUswMQWR-Oo4snusgI3hERoCgq0QAvD_BwE

Several styles to choose from. Looks like the same collage pattern from the White Mountain puzzle released a few years ago.

There's a sale code XMAS20 for 20% off.  They have a lot more than shirts with the Wacky pattern, but they are incredibly light on details.  Even pillows are labeled as "T Shirts."

Right-not a lot of details. Pillows, sheets, and more, but all are called t-shirts! Lol!

I noticed this seller uses a technique to make you think this offer ends shortly to induce a quick purchase decision. Whenever you click on the link; the offer has a countdown that ends in a few hours. It never ends though.  Kind of shady IMO. I passed.

I don't deal with "countdown" offers.

looks like it's all stolen art and photos, mapped (poorly) on to t-shirt patterns

I received one of the two shorts, even though they indicated shipping together.

I reached out to their support team and it APPEARS they re-shipped the whole order, I will report once I have both / missing shirt

This reminds me of a company called Historic Images that I must have bought a photo print from on eBay many moons ago.  They put my email address on their marketing list and I’ve been receiving them ever since.  There always seems to be a “limited time final clearance sale” with “everything 50% off”.  Meanwhile, the starting prices are so ridiculously high that at 1/2 off they’re still too expensive, and the inventory never goes away!  It’s like a perpetual garage sale w/o garage sale prices!  Anyway, you’ve inspired me to finally unsubscribe.  Let’s see if it takes.

Can anyone who  ordered this shirt advise what the status of their order is? If you received your shirt could you post a pic please?

Thanks,  Andrew

I received mine earlier this week. I am at work now so will add a pic later. The printing isn't really very sharp or clear. These are not cotton shirts and are the snug fit stretch style shirts.

Here is a pics of the shirt. They appear to have lifter the image from the unlicensed WP puzzle released several years ago (see the bottom picture).  If you zoom in, you can see the clarity of the picture on the shirt is a bit fuzzy.

The picture doesn't do the word "fuzzy" justice.  I got one and considered sending it back because it was so fuzzy.  It looks OK from a distance of five feet or more but not up close.  It would be different if I paid $10-15 for it, but for this price, I'd consider the quality unacceptable.  If I saw it hanging on the rack in Macy's or Penny's, I'd probably pass on it because my expectations are higher at that type of store.  If I saw it in a thrift store or at a yard sale, I'd probably buy it.

Dennis,

I agree!  It is OK from a distance but up close it is NOT impressive

So this shirt only works for visually impaired wacky enthusiasts.  Glad I passed. Thanks for the insight.
