for those with money to burn...
« on: August 11, 2010, 06:58:31 AM »
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like there's a ton of wacky paintings from the original series on ebay lately! Currently, I count five: Goon's Farm, Virginia Slums, Pollydent, Hurts Tomatoes and Aquax. Oh, if only I had the cash...

Way too rich for me. I would love to own a painting but it may have to be one of the newer series.

The Hurts art is on my 'if I ever win the lottery' wish list.

Almost forgot, Satan Wrap and Stucks ('81 series) paintings are up for auction, too! Check out the cellophane on SW. It's amazing!

I have some financing opportunities coming my way so I decided to make the art available.  I have pretty much locked up my plan B for the financing I need so I think it is fair to say that if the art I made available now doesn't sell, it will go back to being unavailable especially Hurts and Satan Wrap.  You are correct, Satan Wrap is awesome.  I also own Sorry Wrap so maybe I should collect all of the wraps....would that make me a "wrapper"?

Pretty good. It is finally living in my garage now. Here's a pic I took of it a few weeks ago (I know you've seen it up close, but for the benefit of others):

Damn, that is one sweeeet ride!

And I dig the mowed lawn in front of the pond.
Is the 9th hole behind you?!

A couple of weeks ago, I saw a car that seemed a perfect match for yours go around the corner from me but didn't look like you driving it.  Your bro possibly taking it for a spin or possibly another nearby?

Thanks for the compliment...I can't argue with ya.   ;D

The pic was actually taken alongside the roadway of the front entrance to my office building/complex. Ever since I bought the car, I knew I wanted to eventually take it there and "pose" it in front of that pond. Here's a shot of her behind (calm down, the car's behind, lol):

I didn't have it over by you, but it's certainly possible my brother did (I doubt it, though). Maybe there's another one in the area...that'd be freaky.

I'm entirely clueless when it comes to cars, but that's a beauty.  What year is that model?  I'm hooked on the Mad Men TV show and that looks straight out of that day!

Thanks! It's a '64 Impala Super Sport (SS). Power top, power steering, power brakes, power windows, factory air, factory tach, factory cruise control...and all pulled along by a vintage 409 (340 hp) big block V8 mated to a Turbo 350 tranny.
