Excellent! Just think, for many years there were exactly three Bandaches graded 9 or better...and two board members have scored a Band-Ache 9 in the last 6 months!!

Just a fun Scoot related piece...

Grrrreat sketch cards Scot! And that cover is mighty impressive, too! I can only imagine the time it took to paint that Wacky logo over the "puketacular" logo!  :great:

Fun and productive week of 16th series wheeling and dealing! I decided to trade down from my PSA 10 Scoot N/C because of an opportunity to replace it with a nice PSA 9 and pick up a bunch of other nice 16ths at the same time.

So I gave up this...

...and ended up with everything below (with a few extra dollars kicked in from selling the raw copies I no longer needed and a couple of other sales). Not having to put out any actual money makes it twice as fun!

Wow, that was a steal.  That is a huge haul for dropping down from a 10 to a 9!
Still looking for Series 17

Yeah, there are only two PSA 10 Scoot N/Cs, even common 10s of that population level have sold for $800-900.

That PSA 9 is better than the PSA10, that PSA 10 is misgraded IMHO.  That PSA10 centering is not PSA worthy.  I guess I should kill my scoot no copy unopened pack and get it graded eh?

I don't think it's misgraded, it just doesn't have great centering for the grade. A 10 only has to be 60/40. But I agree, I like the 9 better, which is one of the main reasons I did it.

The Yicks looks pretty good. Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but that Badzooka is way off center. I wonder how it would have been graded if it went to PSA?

I found out about another knock on PSA grading, the population report is useless ludlows.  It appears early graded cards didn't have the  ludlow call out so the low population reports are meaningless.

My dad's friend had Wackies from the original series and he gave them to me. And a perfectly centered Cap'n Crud and Paul Maul came along.. Almost finished out my series 1 and 2 sets, with extras. Will post pictures.

A perfectly centered Capn Crud is rare indeed. Look forward to seeing that!

Way above average Capn Crud. Still a tad high on the card, but much better than most!

Cap Crud is one of those titles that just never looks cut exactly right. Always a bit tilted, high on the card. Even the PSA 8s mostly look funky!

Nice! Were those from the person who just had a box that had $5 per card on it? I saw 1 Wacky in it, a PSA 6 card though.

No such luck. They were from Ebay seller nutzaboutcards who was on the right just as you enter the room.

At least once per year, I am still able to add something to my keeper collection.  Just snagged this box from Dan as it is one of the few I was missing.  It is a result of Karma as long ago this was something I was to add to my collection during a period of time of farce "yields" with a fellow collector.  That collector ended up paying nearly $900 for this box after deciding to battle me for it instead.  Now I own it for a trade of under $300. Karma does have a way of working itself out  ;)
