Lipoff Tea from the Chrome Lost cards.  My question is what was this card originally going to be placed in?

From what I remember, it was a long story about the unsigned Saunders artwork showing up on ebay. I believe David Gross won it, and he probably has the best details, if I remember correctly.

It first appeared in OLDS3  as part of the Wacky 1967 subset. Therefore, it apparently, like Janitor in a Slum, was a Die-Cut that was planned but never made. If these two had been made, then the number of Die-Cut Wackys would've been 46 instead of 44.

That would never have happened, the set would have been 44 whichever titles were used.

Thanks for the correction. Based on this knowledge, is it possible that these two might've been alternates in case something was c'ed and d'ed?

I don't think anyone really knows for sure what their status was.

I concur with your response.  The more I look into it the more I find "alt" paths of where it could have come from.  I do hope someone does know for sure.
