We used to have a spoiler feature, but I believe it was lost with the last "upgrade."  Oh well, it's been out for over a year, so hopefully this won't spoil anything for anybody.

I think of the movie as "Star Wars Rogue 1: Everyone Dies, even the Droid."

How true!

I'm the worst person at the movies I think the last one I went to was "Earthquake" and the theaters had a special feature where the seats shook a little? I hated that hehe I'm just very fidgety the seats bother my back a lot and I'll drive you nuts talking too much before I fall asleep after 30 minutes

Or maybe it was ""Grease" where I saw about 1/8th of the movie before the theatre lost power and it never came back on after about an hour of waiting and they sent us all home

Holy cow!  I think you may have everyone beat - and then some!

As a huge fan, I can never get enough of the alien.  Not only like the Gigeresque double toothbrush (which actually makes a certain sense,) but also the dollop of menacing toothpaste and peg hook hole.  Nice details and very well done!  Thanks!

There is some great art in this series! I think these two are my favorite titles so far, truly Wacky. Way to go Joe!
Both Joe's. (Simko for Peter Rabid and Smokin' for Botched Baby)

On a related note - I've just completed the Artist identifiers for all the base titles in the Master List.
Had a few unknowns for awhile, that turned out to be John Zeleznik pieces. Haven't seen art from him since the 2015 set.

You think those two are bad? When my mom and dad were dating back in the 1950s, they were watching The Fly (first version) at the local drive-in. They fell asleep during the movie and were awakened long after everyone had gone home and the movie was over. After realizing what time it was, Dad drove quickly out-but he forgot that he still had the drive-in speaker still attached to the car door! Three guesses as to what happened after that and the first two don't count. Many, many years later Mom went to see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone at a theater (a regular one) and she quietly fell asleep at the part where Harry, in the train station, goes through the brick wall in the muggle world and ends up in the wizarding world's train station. She hasn't seen the movie since.

other than the "2049" oz., the PowerBlade is really a play on the old 1982 Blade Runner, as the character looks like Deckard from the original film and not the new one.

Even when I recognize the movie tie-in, to me this subset of titles has a disconnect similar to the MLB Wackys.  However, unlike the latter, at least the "movie products" marry with the broader theme of the set and make a little more sense when viewed strictly within the overall context of the set.

After the soft roll out of the bonus boxes last week (a week before the scheduled release date of today - 3/21), I expected to see gravity feeds and bonus packs out today but after visiting 2 Targets, I saw nothing new.  One Target had the same booster box out with some packs available but nothing else, the other Target didn't have anything out at all.

In addition, nothing from Topps promoting the "New" release.

What gives???

I think they are GPK collectors who branched out into Wackys and are trying to apply the same metrics to Wackys as they do in GPK.  The bic lighter gold Godzilla was pulled by a GPK collector and he compared it to the chrome superfractors.

Very soft.

I stopped by Target today and couldn't believe the Exel rep was there restocking as I walked in. I asked about the Wackys and he said he had none for this store, he opened all the boxes he had and nothing! In talking to him I learned he stocks all the Targets in the area. He recalled the boxes he left at the Ft Lauderdale Target, which is where Paul Harris and I had found some...he wondered why he didn't have any more though. Oh well...I have some coming in today from D&A's via UPS!

Just opened 2 Collector boxes, 2 display boxes, and 2 blaster boxes.... 106 total packs.... and not a single sketch. No sketch redemption card, nothing except one lonely autograph card from Neil Camera.

These boxes SUCKED  :-\

I also passed on any boxes or retail packs this time around. Nice set but the "hits" did not do much for me this time around. The patch Cards were pretty lame.
