I find most “ambient” music dreadfully boring, but still listen to some of Brian Eno’s incredible material. I hope this is what I hear when I die and head through the tunnel towards the bright light. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZnRe6e20xEOr, if you’ve already had your coffee this morning and require something a bit stronger, this version of the MTM theme is sweet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2XhKDc0eAo
But this ambient piece of his called "An Ending" always has a profound effect on me. -
both of those Eno pieces [Deep Blue Day and An Ending (Ascent)] are from the Apollo Atmospheres & Soundtracks album - which was written to go with the For All Mankind film.I heard the album back in 1983 but didn't see the film until 1989 when it had a special screening here at Johnson Space Center. Absolutely amazing to watch the Moon landing footage accompanied by that Eno music.Available for streaming on Netflix.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_All_Mankind
Here's a song that freaked me out as a kid.
I love that song by Franke and the Knockouts.
Actually Franke and the Knockouts album with that song is pretty good. Reminds me of my high school days. Good stuff! I have the MP3's of their greatest hits.
