Well, I'd believe that they would be "real products."

OH NO! WE CAN'T DO IT!

CELEBRITY CARDS ARE DESTINY!

Um. Insanity aside, I changed my profile pic if Dave doesn't mind.  :D

You know I like that!

Still can't see why a puzzle wasn't included....it is Old School after all.

Yeah, that was a bummer for me. Out of the box, packs or checklist the checklist would be #1 for me to keep.

Would've loved to have seen uncut sheets available.  That's the one thing I liked about the Mars Attacks kickstarter, I could buy what I wanted -- boxes, packs, sets, uncut sheets.

The Ebay seller that had sets for $50 sold two and then raised the price to $75.

Hey, thanks! But always buy for yourself! I won't be offended if any person on here doesn't buy it. I completely get it about some of the comments. Again, that's on Topps not me.

And to everyone I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the movie set. It's way better than the MLB and 50th.
Dave - I agree the movie set sounds exciting, and anything that gets us back to the retail business model without selling out on the artwork and parodies as WP 50th did sounds like good news to me.  And any expansion into uncharted waters is fine by me as long as the original spirit of Wackys remains intact.  The MLB set failed in that respect (i.e., fake products) even though the artwork was good.  I'm surprised at the lukewarm response to the movie set thus far.

Speaking of retail, if my memory serves me correctly, at the time you announced that OLDS 6 was likely a go, wasn't the same said about another ANS set in 2018 that would revert back to the conventional format of ANS?  Or did that morph into the movie poster series?  Just curious.

Apparently, Old School 6 sketches are already on ebay - are these artist returns?

I have seen several that do not seem to be listed by artists.

nothing in the write up for the Wackys, but the GPK's said:  Ships in 5 business days after countdown clock ends.

I would guess the same. So nothing until the week after Thanksgiving,

At least there's no autographs. Those card sets usually say "15 business days after countdown clock ends".

So I missed the online OS6 set sale. Is that the only way Old School 6 will ever be available??? Does anyone have info if this is how all further Wacky Packages releases will be handled? Disappointing for sure :-(

there will still be a yearly massive retail set in addition to the online big and small sets. Next retail set "Goes to the Movies" is due in mid-March '18.

This really isn't all that different than past Old School sets, which were also strictly sold online only. Granted, these sold out a LOT faster than the OLDS 1-5 boxes did.

Dave,

Can you elaborate on if the parallels were printed in equal numbers.  Will  Tan, Black Ludlow and Red Ludlow all have equal printing numbers. I believe past OS releases had all parallels done in equal amounts.  The $150 Set has 15 Pencil Roughs and 15 Parallels.  That leads me to believe the Pencil Roughs were produced
in three times the quantities of the Parallels. Will we get 5 Tans, 5, Red Ludlows and 5 Black Ludlows per $150 set?

All the rough cards and parallels are going to random I was told. I think the ratio of tan and Luds is the same (will also be random).

So I've been off the forum for a couple weeks.  I ordered one full base set of OLDS6, but not received anything yet.  Have these been sent out?  I don't think I received a shipping notice, but I see some sets are on ebay.

The cards haven't shipped yet. Hopefully really soon. All those sets on eBay are 'pre-orders', as no one has them in hand.

I am curious what price point we think The Base sets will go for in the future? Matt is basically the only seller who has pre-sold any sets as he priced them from $47.99 to the current $52.99 which is lower than any other sellers. With only 400 Base set sold; will these end up being $100 sets in the future? I think in six months that will be the case.

Thanks for the info, F&S!  Busy time of year, so I'm not in a huge rush, but I do look forward to seeing the set soon.

Are our pre-orders we did before Thanksgiving slated to be shipped out this month in time for Christmas?

I have no inside info but expect we will have our cards by friday. It looks like in the past On-Demand cards shipped within five business days of the ending of the sale.

also depends what shipping was chosen. The free shipping has always taken a full week for the package to get to me.

but if they are sent out sometime this week, or even next week, they should all be delivered before Christmas

Hopefully we get shipping notices today or tomorrow. I need my Old School. It's worth noting I have already had the experience of not opening packs which is how the last Mars Attacks release was sold. I opened the box and the sketches were at the end of the stack. Not quite as fun as opening packs but it prepped me for Old School 6.

Talked to Topps customer service earlier. Was told that they would ship 10 - 12 business days after the countdown clock ran out. I said about how they sold out long before the clock ran out but, that didn't seem to matter. Said I should look for shipping notification middle of next week.  :38: :38:

And, on top of that, with the Fedex Smartpost it'll be another 2 weeks 'til I actually have them in hand.  :41: :91:

Their idea of 'business days' doesn't seem to be the usual definition either- or maybe they just don't work M-F like everyone else.
I have a World Series card card that 'will ship within 5 business days of the final game ', that was finally sent out just last week on 12/4. The game was played back on 11/2.
