I'm not real sure either.
uh, oh, Brad is off in never never land looking for ulterior motives again.....Earth to Brad....come back home again....... :P

It just seemed to me it would be neat to know the names of folks as I have often gotten emails from folks and had no idea they were forum members.  If someone wants to stay private and annonmous, so be it, no biggie.  Plus, the strong list adds extra emphasis on just how strong this forum is right now if you really need to get your ulterior motive fix satisfied!

I see a few well known collectors here i know that are not on the list yet.
It's funny,,when i got back into collecting wacky's a few years ago i thougt 1000's of people were really "into" them like most people here on the board are.I see now that only a few hundred really serious "collectors" exist and i would guess a few 1000 that were collectors but don't stay up to date with all the new stuff or upgrade the 70's cards they still have.
You guys have been in this hobby for decades now,,,what's your take on it?

I think the list is helpful so folks can address one another by their first names (if they desire).  I often try to do that.  Since we have no where in our profiles to indicate a first name (or full name) this is a good alternative.  Now, if Brad could add a field to profiles to allow for a first name to be entered and IF people went back and added them, this list wouldn't be needed.

I totally agree, I like to have first names interacting with members, but I also like making the connections with eBay transactions, and it helps me with trading once I know who is who.

You could put your name in the ultimate profile under about me.

I have done that already but not everyone might intuitively think to do that.

and just to keep the conspiracy theory division open - I noticed you didn't add Jeff "All Brain" to the list. Trying to keep your top spot maybe???

Hey gang,

This forum has really begun to take off.  I thought it might be a good idea to make a list of Forum Ids and names(first and/or last name whatever people are comfortable) so newbies can know who is who and for us old timers to re-catch up on this.  I will reupdate this first post with a running list as people respond.

Not everyone seems to have put any info in the profiles and I don't know if that is because they don't know how, just never got around to it.

Everyone up for this?

Time to bring that enthusiam back as things are good, Old School, Post Cards and ANS sets, a fresh new forum with a variety of discussions, wacky seem hot again as I have had to shut down a couple of times due to the backlog of private deals!  You gonna be able to make a show now that they are in Allentown?

I still like em, I just lost interest in the forum (for various reasons, you can pick 1 lol) ....I think I have been signed up here since it started.
I got Old Skool.  haven't kept up with the post cards, and will get some new ANS, just not to the level I was doing before.

No show for me, I am in North Carolina now.......Kind of ironic, as It would have been much easier the previous show location.

Like the idea of knowing who is who. I often wonder who some of these avitars belong too.

Where in NC are you, sir?  I'm on the western side of the state in Hickory.  Plastered Peanuts is in the Raleigh area.  One of the guys from the other forum (Shot Wheels - not sure if he came over here or not) is in Asheville.

Wow. When I move to Asheville, NC I'll be surrounded with Wacky fans. That would be a big change from where I am now in the high desert. Then again, I got the ultra cool Smokin' Joe out here in Vegas.

I'm in Charlotte, so we have a pretty good portion of the state covered - just need someone from the coast!

Don't forget Kirk Hardymon (aka Runaway).  Although I think he now lives just across the state line in South Carolina but I believe he still works in downtown Charlotte.  Kirk has an amazing uncut sheet collection in his law office in downtown Charlotte (or is it "uptown").

Thanks, Hi, and yes... officially signed up. Been looking in now and then, but haven't posted yet... busy working on an all sketch card ANS 8... no printing involved... each artist is required to create 35,000 individual hand drawn cards... and no dupes. Let the rumors fly and the chase begin. (note: some posts may be truthfully inaccurate.)

It wouldn't be a forum without inaccurate posts. I think I have a pretty good idea of which ANS7 card you did ;) I hope you guys put a list together for all the cards after the dust settles in a week or 2.
