Bit-O-Money and Bit-O-Honey. I think the actual wrapper is from Jason Liebig's collection, so I want to give him proper credit for the image.

I'd never heard of Bit-O-Honey until this ad came out.  I wish someone would post the video portion, in all its psychedelic glory:

Interesting side by side comparison. It's almost as if the Wacky picture was taken 2 seconds later than the original... after the nomad/wizard stubs his toe and spills his coffee. Would be a great lenticular combo.

That fish looks as happy as a clam. On a related note, I wonder who determined clams were happy. This one would be kinda blasey without the open can/soused fish.

The phrase most likely started as the longer phrase “happy as a clam at high tide,” and was popularized in the early 19th century, particularly in the northeastern United States. Clams can only be readily dug up when the tide is low; in high water, they're almost impossible to find.

Interesting tidbit.  Makes perfect sense.

I agree.  The soused fish definitely elevates the gag to a much higher level!

I wonder if the artist who did this one wanted to do a drunk Charlie the Tuna in the can, but couldn't do it due to copyright reasons, so he did the next best thing instead.

I always wondered why that fish looks so goofy.  Arguably it looks more like a generic Spongebob Squarepants fish than anything relevant to the product and era.

A drunk Charlie would indeed be much more humorous.

I am not seeing any images. I have not seen any for a few days on this forum. (I thought it was just on my end!)

Postimage changed their image hosting urls to postimage.cc. Bottom line is, the images are all still there, but they will only show in old threads if the postimage.org URL is changed to postimage.cc. New images should work fine as always.

All of the images in my account are still usable as they have the new URLs automatically.

Back to the WP basics!  A nice breath of refreshing air!  Thanks!

"Before you do your washload!" always struck me as somewhat odd.  Why before?  Besides, the woman is smack in the middle of her washing.  I'd suggest "Before, during and after you do your washload!" which would also parallel the "hot, warm and cold" on the original box.

Broomo Seltzer is a classic Wacky title - funny gag and taglines, and that glass bottle and lid are tremendous!   The broom inside is just perfect.

I thought that was one of the most crumby tummies I have ever seen. Just goes to show, art is in the eye of the beholder.

Broomo was hypnotic to me as a kid. I remember pulling it out before bedtime and staring at those blues... I didn't know the product, but knew how beautifully this was painted. Series 6 was the first series I was able to collect from stores... so it is like my introduction to Wackys. My most nostalgic series.

When I pulled this sticker as a kid, I didn't get the gag until I looked up "slums" in the dictionary.  Then the gag and taglines made sense.  And, talk about making something out of a nothing package!  There is so much art and detail that it's a fantastic Wacky even if some kids didn't get the gag.  Love the buildings and smokestacks.  The smoke is great, too.

Yes! I admire how he used the brown stripes on the left of the actual pack to represent smoke stacks on the parody.
