1973 Series 2 - 8 Lives

8-Lives Tuna Bones
Cat Food?
Uses up 8 of your cat's lives in one meal

Real Product
9-Lives
Savory Stew

I like to use the words on the original products that look closest to the wacky, and in this case the can was much more simpler than the wacky. I would personally fix one thing about this wacky, its placement on the sheet.

Lol, there's something fascinating about a card being butchered and turning out near perfect.

Nobody has a photo of a vintage 9-Lives cat food can? This is the best I have from a YouTube video...

I was always fond of this wacky even though it's quite simple. The change from "cabin" to "cave-in" tickles my funny bone for some reason as well as the caved-in cabin "character" . Had to add a picture of the cool old cabin container below.

That original bottle pic is just like the poster version that everyone hated!!

I think by far the best part of the gag on this one is the simple addition of a question mark.  Brilliant!

This is the only card I have a vivid memory of opening a pack and finding. I'd been searching for Run Tony for so long, I just about gave up. I was piling up doubles, triples, quadruples, quintuples, etc., but couldn't complete the series.

One day I bought a couple packs, but really had no hope. And there it was! I was standing on the street corner near the store. I probably threw the wrapper in the ground, as was the custom in those days.

The pun seemed like a stretch, but a clever stretch. And my memory will always be a happy one with this title.

Another great one, IMO. The real product, in comparison, before it was Nestle. My only gripe on this one is since the product is a finger, wouldn't the tag line "broken handy" be better than "broken candy".

I loved Crakola as a kid, and used to put extra copies of the sticker on my crayon boxes and cans.  I still think it's a great gag, and a great looking Wacky.
