..and remember, the Shedds version of Hostage has the proper lettering font!

(Image removed from quote.)

Oh yeah! Almost forgot about that. Look at the crappy job on the rub-down lettering. Crooked and wavy. LOL!

Drank a lot of 7up as a kid and always liked their commercials and advertising campaigns so I am biased on this one. The 6up parody name doesn't really mean anything that I know of, still a title I like. The little guy holding back a burp is great.

This one was more or less filler to me. Out of 10, I give it a 6 up.

This one has always been a favorite of mine. Was a heavy consumer of this product. Seemed like you were either a member of the JIF camp, or the SKIPPY camp, except for those freaks that ate Smucker's Goober peanut butter with jelly mixed in  :P. Wars broke out in the school cafeteria over peanut butter preference.

This is a good example of making something great out of not much at all to work with since the original product packaging is pretty drab. One of the iconic WP characters IMHO. Love the touch of the little worms. Strong parody name with a nice supporting tag line.

I think this is a great Wacky, with a good gag and character.  Even the peas are funny.

Agreed, the incredible imagination changing it from 7 up to 6 up just duzn't do it for me.  Maybe one up since it refers to it hating you, you hating it, people who don't get along tend to one up each other.

Love the product, love the art, the gag totally loses me after crummy peanut shells so it falls from top notch as I just don't think the random silliness of beanut putter is of any value here.

Agreed, no criticism here. shame it was pulled hurting its nostalgic value for most of us not being in series 1.

I agree with Raw Goo's and Band Ache's comments previously posted on this one. Once again, the possibly anonymous can top renderer, has done an excellent job.

They had a jar with peanut shells for JIP in the ANS series.

Simple, but very effective. Another one of the classics. I couldn't find original packaging with a yellow top (sniff).

Quacker is a great gag, and it goes perfectly with the wonderfully rendered duck.

I like the parody title and supporting tag lines on this one, although they seem to borrow from M&Ms... the alien is cool.

I like the Melty Way gag, but really don't care for the Lost version where the Ad text was added onto the Wacky, and the alien was shortened.  That is just way too cluttered!

The packaging used for the spoof is closer to the bar on the attached ad. This is long before my time, but the wrapper appears to have been opaque.

Thanks for the flyer showing the old packaging!  It's good to see how "Mars" was on it - I thought that was what tied in the Barsoom line on the Ad, but couldn't find anything.
