It reminds me of when I worked in the toy section at Bradlees back in the early '80s. Customers would take the jack-in-the boxes out of the cardboard box, and then couldn't get it back in. The jack-in-the-box was a square cube, and the cardboard box was square, but it was taller than its square sides. So you either had to position the handle facing up or down when putting it back in the box - not to one of the sides. We always had ripped boxes where they couldn't figure that out and just stuffed it back in. What could be simpler than putting a cube with a handle back into a box? There are only six possibilities, and two of them work!
