Months ago I pre-ordered from Borders.com the 2011 Wacky Packages NEW NEW NEW Wall Calendar but when I noticed the calendar was not in the Borders.com pre-order listings I attempted to cancel the pre-order and had to pre-order from another source - DeepDiscount.com ! Is ABRAMS going ahead to release the 2011 Wacky Packages wall calendar around August 1, 2010 or not?

my guess is that it's cancelled.
it's not on the Abrams site, and it's not on the major bookseller sites (amazon or barnes&noble). If it was really coming out in two weeks, it should be listed in a bunch of places.
It looks like Abrams will be at Comic Con next week. I'll make a point to stop by their booth and ask about it.

You can't say that. No one will take you seriously.

There officially won't be a 2011 calendar. It was ready to go, but approval didn't happen in time. They'll use what they put together for the 2012 calendar.

What about a book? I asked Topps Online about it today and they said they did not know about it.

That's too bad that there won't be a 2011 calendar, but I'm glad to know that the idea of future calendars isn't dead.

The calendar rocks. We're in the middle of a Wacky explosion.
I think there are so many items to buy now. It is hard to decide on what.
That is a good thing. If the government would just stop printing money they don't have our ecomomy will go places.

Just digging up this old thread (rather than starting a new one) to voice my disappointment that there obviously won't be an official 2011 Wacky Packages calendar hanging in my kitchen next year.  As we're down to the final page on the 2010 calendar, it's kind of sad knowing there won't be one for 2011.  I really liked that calendar.  Of all the WP "stuff" that was released in recent years, this is one item they definitely should have continued with.

Yep, I'm going to miss having Wackys on my calendars all year - I have one up in my kitchen, and one in my computer room.

I was really hoping for a 2011 Wacky calendar as well, 2012 seems so far away, Oh well I'm glad I got 1 of Gurgle's Off the Mark calendars for the upcoming new year.

I love the "Off the Mark" desk calendars!  I hope someday that the local newspaper will include Mark's comic strip, but while I wait, I can at least enjoy his past work.

One way to get it into your paper is to organize a mob and stage a sit-in at the editor's office. Just sayin'.

I was looking online to buy a 2011 Wacky Packages Calendar for my husband Mark Parisi (one of the artists from the most recent series) and saw that this discussion was talking about his off the mark page-a-day calendar.  If anyone wants to purchase an off the mark calendar, here's the link:  http://www.offthemark.com/products/products.htm

Thanks for the post, Jay!  While I hope there are more Wacky books/calendars/etc to come, I could see there being some good books devoted to sports and other non-sports cards as well.

I was just looking at the Abrams 2012 calendar catalog online, and a Wacky Packages calendar isn't shown.
I guess this deal went through too late to put one together by this summer.

I've been using mine for a second year. You just have to remember that the dates of the week actually start on Monday, not Sunday.
(or just use post-its to cover up the days with the correct one).

Thanks for the link.  Amazing how much ahead of time a calendar has to be put together to be ready for sale.  I suppose people are already at work making the 2013 calendars.

well, crap, it doesn't look like there is a Wacky calendar for 2014 either. The latest Abrams catalog came out and while both a GPK and Mars Attacks are shown, there's no love for the wacky.

On the bright side... Doesn't that mean that Wacky Packages' days are NOT numbered?

Please be careful with that type of talk, or the next Wacky calendar will list six months and the other six will be chasers in Topps hockey team poster packs

Or just wait until 2021 when the calendar will be the same as it was in 2010.

Ugh!  I'm happy for the GPK and Mars Attacks fans, but I want another Wacky calendar!  As much as I would buy most any Wacky product, I really did like the calendar, esp with the bonus cards, and felt it was one of the better values for Wacky merchandise out there.  I guess I'll just have to keep my fingrers crossed for a third Wacky book and second calendar.  Or maybe I'll just email Abrams.
