Please help me ID This Poster
« on: October 14, 2015, 05:50:09 PM »
I bought this gem YEARS ago - and of course did NOT save the paper work.  I have never seen this for sale since and would like some hep on the background of this poster.

It is approximately 28" x 36" - I had it professionally matted and framed to protect it.    It has all 16 series in order and starts with the 1967 Die Cuts with Alternates and then 1-16 with Variants.

Any help or input would be appreciated!

A fellow collector was selling these years ago.  I think he was from Canada.  Don't remember much more.  I think I have one.

I remember buying the same poster on ebay about 15 years ago. Haven't seen it in as long as I can remember.

I have one of these as well. I thought this was a Duane Dimmock production. Maybe not.

Yes, I think it was Neveready. I bought several of his awesome collage posters, the ones where a large Wacky image was made up of a zillion tiny Wacky images. Love those posters...

I think his name was John Dubinsky.  Here is a bookmark link I still had in my web browser from years ago:

I have one of the photo-mosaic posters of Plastered Peanuts.  There used to be a web page where you could zoom in to the photo-mosaics to see all the tiny Wacky images.  Those photo-mosaics are one of the coolest fan-produced Wacky things ever made (IMO)!!

how weird, it's got a fake Ratz on there. Looks like it was used on the big poster too.

and that's gotta be the wrong Hungry Jerk that won the votes

Yes. Here's some info he wrote up about his poster (courtesy of the WayBack machine)... I believe this was on Greg's site, around 2002

That looks like an awesome poster!  I'd have bought one when they were offered had I known about them.

I just realized I have one of these posters. It's unused and been stored in a tube in one of my trunks full of goodies. For the life of me, I can't remember when and where I got it.

I'd certainly be up to trade it for something interesting...

Cheers!

I actually have a different version of the poster.  It's horizontal and doesn't have the large package image in the middle.  I think there were a few differences between the specific Wackys shown in the two posters.  Perhaps one of the posters had both versions of Grime and the other only had one.  A few small things like that were the only differences as I recall.

I've got the same one you have on my wall with every original series wacky on it including lost wacky's. I believe it was from Canada.

How weird is this? I was looking at a CD-R burned in 2001 and found this...

How cool would it be to make one of these out of real stickers?  Although I think I remember John saying there were 10's of thousands of stickers in each photo-mosaic!
