Yes, there are different camel patterns on the blue Ludlow.
I think Pat is asking if a single title has more than one pattern on the back.

I don't think we've seen enough to know, and some of the sellers on eBay are using a 'stock' image for all the backside shots

Unless there's a way to search the case first......  Not that I'm getting cynical or anything.........
just opened a few packs from one of the blisters and pulled a Wheaton sketch. Now, just need to find a green Lud in one of these as well, and I'll be set.

Yep, that's what I was asking.  I collected both of the pattern backs the first time they came out in Old School.  The next time, I tried, and out of something like 25 boxes, I didn't get any from the alternate pattern, which made me not so fond of ludlows after that.

Illinois (Chicago area)

I opened the 30 packs. Aside from the silvers, and tattoos.  I found 3 pencil cards, one potter sketch card, and one green ludlow.

I went back to check things out at the local Walmart at lunch time today. They had restocked the hanger and it now was full with 18 blister packs. Since you can look into the plastic blister side and see which blue border cards also have the blue ludlow backs, I was able to see that 4 of the 18 did. Either by lay in the shipping container or pure luck, all 4 of these were together on the hanger. Based on what Pat reported, this makes me wonder if the ludlow backs are together in the shipping carton and get put out that way as someone reaches in and pulls out a handful to place on the hangers.  I only bought two additional packages to get a couple blue ludlow backs. When I opened the packs I also got 1 green ludlow   :D   and 2 tattoos (the same title)  :-\

In my first blister, I got a sketch, and in the second blister I got my first green Ludlow (speed sick).
almost seems like the special inserts are better than the odds say.

I've been to 3 Walmarts (2 in WI and 1 in IL) in the last few days and haven't found a single Wacky.  The three stores' card selections varied from virtually nothing to fairly well stocked.  Alas.  Makes me want to not even bother, but I'm sure I'll hit a few more (as well as going back to the one near me that is generally pretty well stocked).

WalMart card sections are worked by the rack jobber on Wed and Thurs in most stores so Mon and Tues so will not see much restocking happening. We will see lots more of these packs hit later this week.

Although I'm not diagnosed dyslexic, I initially I read this as the jack robber worked the card sections at Walmart on Wednesday and Thursday. I found it strange that a searcher had a set schedule for jacking racks of packs.

Unsearched packs and the Walmart packs.

Your best bet for unsearched packs is five below. i have hit 5 of them and found no cards at two and untouched boxes at 3.

I agree with you.  I am blessed that in my general area (30mile) I have like 30 Walmarts  and 30 targets.  I refuse to buy from Targets, because they are all searched.  I have purchased so far about 50 packs from Walmart.  Now granted you can see the blue cards back, but the packs are unserched. I still have about 40 to open, in the 10 I did open though I found a sketch and a green ludlow. That is the part of the hobby that my wife and I enjoy.  The anticipation of finding the special card.

Exactly, I want the fun of knowing there COULD be a special card in there somewhere, but without having to buy a whole case.

There's another Walmart nearby I will probably try, but the one a mile from my house has always had the better card section, so I'm not hopeful.  The nearest 5 Belows are 25 miles away, one due east, and one west.  And, while I used to enjoy driving all over the island on the hunt for Wackys, now that they are almost always searched when I do manage to find them, it's more frustrating than fun.

I missed the boat this series, probably should have just ordered a collector case.

You can still buy a few hobby boxes. You won't find the cool inserts though.

All the talk about the Walmart paks is making my mouth water! No one wants to sell these on the forum?
And I don't mean for $29 each like on ebay?

I think this comment was left by a pack searcher/ reseller who is trying to increase interest in his ebay auctions. I don't see any reason to believe the WalMart packs will be limited.

6 posts and no reply as to where his info is from................ I am not into paying $30 for a $7.99 set on the bay. As soon as I do, I will find them and be annoyed.

I don't think the packs themselves are limited, but the wal-mats that will be carrying them are limited. I have 6 wal-marts around me and have not seen Wackys at any of them in years.

I don't know if its wal-mat that has limited carrying them or Topps sales reps Suck at getting them to the stores....I bet the house its #2.

I'll be looking for more this weekend. Is a normal back card fine, or only a Lud?
