Wacky Prototype Vinyl Toy - Mr Clone
« on: February 03, 2015, 05:50:19 PM »
Don't know how popular the Wacky Vinyl toys are but I always really dug them.  A seller on eBay has what he claims to be a prototype that he received from an Topps employee.  The title is Mr. Clone.   Does anyone know anything about this one?

Here's another of his prototypes.  If you search Wacky Prototype Vinyl Pillow on eBay you will see the rest.

In 2006, Topps released the first set of vinyl Wacky "sculptures" that included:

Krusty Krumbs Donuts
Blister
Sneeze It
Gearios
Ratz Crackers
Slum Maid Raisins
Mutts Apple Juice
Suffertone
Hawaiian Punks
Chock full of Nuts and Bolts Coffee
Gutterade
Struggle Stool Softener

The next year, series 2 came out which included:

Starducks
Spite
Spaz
Slop Tarts
Mac N Geese
Liceol
Hoggin Dogz
Chopperation
Cap N Crutch
Cannibals
After Life
Tired

They came in two sizes - regular and jumbo. I forget exactly how big each was and mine are all boxed up (sadly). Cool to see they floated the idea of a third series!

Here are Sets 1 and 2 in no particular order in a shadow box I built and placed them behind plexi for protection:

I liked these quite a bit back when they came out.  I particularly liked the original series titles.  I have a few on display, a few in a box and I sold off a few.  I would be interested in at least checking out the titles if not picking up a set of new ones if they came out.
