1967 wackys - punched values
« on: November 27, 2014, 07:08:19 PM »
New to the forum.   What generally is the value of punched wacky's in decent shape?   Also, what is the opinion of how many Ratz, Cracked Animals and Jolly Green #21 that were produced?

Thanks for you feedback !

There was a punched set of 42 (no Ratz or Cracked) on ebay recently that didn't sell at $160.  I can't speak for the numbers produced.

I think Ratz and Cracked are the only ones with any value punched. In the past the Ratz and Cracked numbers were thought to be in the 40+ range each, but I'd guess it's way more than that. The Jolly Mean is clearly much rarer than Ratz/Cracked.

EDIT: There are 27 and 37 of Ratz and Cracked respectively graded by PSA. I'd have to guess based on that that 40 of each is way low.

I just realized I misread the question. Are we interested in production numbers, or how many are around now?

Yeah, I'd say the number actually printed would be in the thousands.

Trying to gauge (if possible) the number of 1967/68 original wackys produced as it relates to ratz/cracked.  So 1,000,000 of jailo's produced v 50,000 ratz.  that sort of thing.   Always wondered why someone at Topps or who worked at Topps wouldn't have this data.
My guess would be about 1,000 ratz.

Any thoughts?
