I searched the backs of 7 cases of cards and there were only 2 different backs per card. Have not looked over the fronts though.

I just realized that my Play Dumb and Demented medallions are the variations.  Are those the "rare" ones listed on the packs as 1:190 packs?

And I have yet to see what the 2014 BONUS STICKERS (B3 and B4) are since we've seen B1-B2 and B5-B12!

I was reading a description from an eBay auction for 2013 ANS11 bonus stickers, and B3 and B4 were from Target exclusive jumbo packs. So it's a possibility B3 and B4 for ANS12 might also be found at Target inside jumbo packs with the Target Exclusive logo on it.

sort of correct, but not really

ans 10 had 6 bonus at retail
1,2 and 5,6 were in similar wrappers, but showed up at Target and Walmart respectively (Excel vs the other distributer)
3,4 were in Target Exclusive wrappers

ans 11 had 6 bonus at retail
1,3,4 showed at Target
2,5,6 showed at Walmart
wrappers did not say exclusive to the store.

I'm guessing they will show, but will not say exclusive

Thanks! I was confusing the ANS 11 with the ANS 10. Walmart will hopefully pull through this week on the other bonus stickers. Just 12 total bonus stickers this time?

Brad, I checked with Topps this morning to confirm that both Wacky Backs and Alt art are in the set.  I wasn't given much more information except the number of Altered Cards.  It is 5!  Let the hunting begin!  We should do some kind of Forum Contest for the collectors who can first spot the differences! 

ps.  I have no idea which cards they are or what the differences might be, that info is being kept tight in the Topps Vault!

not sure on retail - but for Coll -- its states 1:43 for Classic Charc. and 1:228 for ALT Art

think its only Collectors...haven't seen any of these so far....

I went thru the backs of all the cards, they are separated, so on Thursday night I will go thru the fronts to see if I can find any difference.  I have 2500 cards to search thru I will let you all know later.

I'm thinking big thug elmo , reekse's, and super mal bros - just a hunch...checking myself - seems suspect that the charc back hasn't shown up - its 1:43 chance...

They might be - my stuff came from 2 diff locations - still opening so we shall see...its going to be pretty tough to see the differences from the ANS stuff vs. the Chrome - really have to look hard like in ANS 11

I looked through all my cards and didn't see one variation. This is out of 3 cases. You would think I could have pulled at least one with the stated odds?

absolutely - esp. given the 1:43 odds for the Character Backs....seems fishy...but Joe G. said the Alt Art is out there as well...might be subtle??

we need and inside guy @ Topps to feed us the "cliff notes" on these series variations!!

Joe, the word I received was official but it is damn strange not one has surfaced yet, especially the Wacky Backs!  Maybe a printing error that Topps is, as yet, unaware of.  I have to say the collectors boxes I opened were packed with chase cards so it's not like Topps skimped in any way on this set!

my boxes were loaded too - I never said they skimped...its been great!! - BUT I just want to Hustle for more chase items - esp. the hard to find ones...that the dealers don't know about....

I also heard from an official at Topps that
the 2014 Series 1 Wacky Packages does have art variant cards
5 subjects but a very low quantity, hard to spot, but they are out there.
no word on which ones, thats all I got, happy hunting!

My first collector box was interesting to say the least - the very first pack I opened had only 2 cards! The second pack had 4 cards!!! And no special cards in these packs either. I'm going to contact topps - wish me luck!
Did notice that the patch packs had only 3 cards total in the other boxes, so at least that was consistent....
And NO medallions, so big disappointment here, wonder if they should have been in those skinny packs?
But, did pull one of the 4 sketch packs! That was the highlight, along with the first discovery of the the Wacky back on this forum! Only one of those in my case...

Congrats on the pull.  Doesn't appear these would be difficult to notice when opening packs or sorting cards, especially with the attention being given to back variations in this release. Wonder why it took so long for one to surface? Perhaps the odds listed are simply incorrect. Looks like these character renderings from the Jay Lynch "primer" drawings.
