Someone just put most of the new set on the bay. Pretty funny so far. Not too much potty humor. IMO.

Didn't see those listed at toywiz.com

These were for the 2014 Series 1 release?

Yep, they're for the new 2014 release.  Here's the link:
http://www.toywiz.com/wackmrvalue2014.html

I still don't have all the bonus/special cards from ANS10 and ANS11, and I'm not having any warm and fuzzy feelings about this development.

I saw a top loader at one of my local Targets, but no bonus boxes or jumbo packs yet.

I went through every pack in the top loader, and I don't think sketch cards are in the retail packs. The odds were not listed for them on the wrapper. But there are gold bordered cards, so you will need to do some extreme fanning to find them. What are those cards with the funky pink and yellow pattern backgrounds?

I found a Gravity Feed in an Excel Box in a Princeton Target. I gently fingered all packs and found no sketches. I did not look for Golds which would have taken a lot of time to move the cards around enough to see the border. I just looked for solid edges indicating a sketch.

Interesting. The east coast always seems to get them earlier than the rest of the planet.

The Targets here on Long Island do usually get them quite early, but I didn't check yesterday.  Will try today.

I found the jumbo packs in the toy department at one of my Targets. Even though there is a large window on these packs, I could not see the bonus sticker numbers (ie: B1) on the bottom corner and it's hard to see through the back of the packs. I don't want to buy a bunch of these packs now just to find out later how to find the bonus stickers. Target has a no-return policy on trading cards now, just an even exchange. Anyone have valuable info they can provide?

For curiosity, I just checked the Topps website.  No 2014 Series to be found.  Nothing!!!

You would think that would be a sound business strategy to put your own product up for sale on your own website the date of it's release but I guess not.

Who is running things over there????

I just noticed on eBay that the bonus stickers have that pink-yellow pattern backdrop, so that will be an easy way to find them inside the packs. Not sure about Walmart having different bonus stickers. I will have to check a few stores later.

the odds of the loaded sketch packs are 1:565. On Blowout's site it states there are 50 packs so that would make a total of 336 collector cases.

I'm bummed - my order just shipped this afternoon, and it's coming by UPS, signature required.  Don't see how I can be here Friday, which means no Wackys for me until Monday

Does UPS have a waive sig form? I think I signed up with UPS through Facebook and I could change my preferences. I'll double check.

Update - I just looked at my tracking for tomorrow and mine also requires sig and it states I can't waive the request. After you log into UPS you can go to UPS my choice. It will lists all packages coming to your address. When you click on the package coming in there is a delivery change button. When you click on it there is an option to leave package with a neighbor. It wouldn't hurt to try.

I have been trying that for the last hour and a half, starting off by signing up for My Choice, but it won't let me change anything!  Trying to reroute to the local UPS store for the $5 fee, and I keep going around in circles.  I am having a VERY bad day on the computer today.

Do you get something that looks like this? When you click on the shipper it gives you delivery options. The first page says leave with neighbor. I didn't go through it because I didn't want to screw anything up.

I got that page, but nothing shows up.  I'm thinking maybe I have to wait until tomorrow.

Hit Two Targets in PA today. Found untouched Gravity Feeds in both and no jumbo packs in the toy sections.

Fingered and found no sketches or Golds. Purchased 4 packs with Silvers in them for fun.  My collector boxes arrive tomorrow.

I signed in with Facebook a few months ago and I get ups notifications all the time because I order a lot from Amazon. I received a UPS notice for my tomorrows delivery before I got a shipping notice from Blowout.

One other thing, are you logged in and setup a ups account with your address and such?

Question, why isn't this set called "Wacky Packages All New Series 12"?

This is what I am wondering too. I think it is just to create more sales. But now I wonder, is this another series of sets? Is there going to be an official ANS 12? Maybe they sould of called it, All New New Series 1.  ;)

Will check my Target today and report back. As far as my Walmart goes, they seem to never have Wackys anymore. And it is strange because they went under construction about 2 years ago, became a Huge Walmart, and since then I have never seen any Wackys in the newly renovated Walmart. They have a card section and all the other stuff, no Wackys. Come to think of it, I haven't seen any GPKs either, but I don't collect those. Really weird, and I was so excited thinking it would be even better since the renovation.

Scored a four card sketch set out of one of my two Collector boxes. They line up horizontally. Pretty cool to pull this four card set and another Smokin Joe Sketch and a Plate out of the same box.  I got three golds out of two boxes One Lost Wacky and one auto. No medallions or Red Luds.
I purchased the Demented Variation and Regular Medallion off the bay today so it all worked out. I really wanted a Medallion out of my boxes. Instead I got some of the coolest sketches I have ever pulled. I guess that would be called a "Loaded" pack right?

This change in numbering was debated as early as ANS7. There had been a gap of 2 or 3 years after ANS6 and when the next new set was first announced Topps called it "Wacky Packages 2010." By the time it was solicited to distributors, the name was changed to All-New Series 7.

Garbage Pail Kids led the way in the new naming/numbering. I think the idea is that a high series number discourages new customers at retail because they'll think they've missed too much to catch up. In GPK land, this year Topps released:

  • Garbage Pail Kids 2014 Series 1
  • Garbage Pail Kids 2014 Series 2

The next set that was just announced will be:

  • Garbage Pail Kids 2015 Series 1

Wackys are sure to follow suit.

Yep, I set up an account (one more password to forget!) and logged in.  It seems to require that a delivery attempt fail before I can reroute to a UPS store.  How stupid is that?

Anyway, I arranged to be able to stay home today, and my cases are out on the truck for delivery.  Hope to have cool stuff to report later!
