As coincidence would have it, the person who closed out the auction is someone I know, but not from the wacky hobby. So I found out exactly what these packs were.

As I suspected, they are not real UK packs, but are fun packs. They consist of the 2nd UK checklist with one domestic 8th series sticker. I already own a pack just like these.

The annoying part is that it becomes difficult to distinguish a real 2nd UK pack from one of these, because many of the 2nd UK stickers are 8th series titles with indistinguishable copyrights. So the only difference would be
whether the pack has one sticker or two, difficult to discern that without opening.

I also have a fun pack that uses this wrapper, but contains a 14th series checklist. Classifying all the different kinds of fun packs is the final frontier of wacky research.

Wow, that is crazy with all of the variations of pack contents with the same wrapper.  I thought it was tough enough will all of the regular original series variations.
