Sounds like you have a bumper sticker worthy slogan going but may need to trim a few words... how about simply "Swill/Thrill"

Can we buy them on Blueberry Hill-LOL.

I am beginning to realize that myself and about 5 other forum members will be purchasing these cards on pre-order.

I hope I can find some forum members to trade with to complete the subsets. It would be pretty annoying to have

to resort to Ebay to complete subsets after dropping over $300 on these cards. Sure I could just buy the sets on the bay

but then no  SuperFractor Jail-O for me.

I am interested in chrome and would definitely sell/trade with others...so count me in!! we'll see if the price comes down as we get closer...that might determine if others come in...

I would imagine I'd be up for some trading, but probably fairly limited as it's tough to have to trade for lots of different cards.  I wish trading in person would more convenient.  I miss those days.

dont see price dropping until  a few weeks after release . there are risks with pre ordering and not pre ordering .

FYI,  D&A Cards always has free shipping on orders over $150 but they have Free Shipping on orders over $99 every Thursday.
I just ordered  2 more boxes so I am up to four hobby boxes pre-ordered and will pick up 24 or 48 packs at Retail. Maybe a Gold 6-Up will be in one of my Hobby boxes? If I don't score any blues or golds I can live with that. Its a lottery and I just bought some tickets!   ;)

Free shipping on orders over $99 on Thursday might just be enough to get me to order a couple boxes.  With the price of shipping and thinking I might only buy one box, it almost made no financial sense to pre-order a box.  With my Target red card, the price wouldn't be much less than I could get it at Target.  However, I might be persuaded to get the two boxes pre-order.  I wonder how long they'll accept pre-orders.  July still seems a long way off.

im not sure what im going to do yet . after what happened with gpk chrome series one . cases pre sold  just over 700 .  now you can get the same case for 400 . im guessing that there are fewer wacky fans then gpk fans ? so there would be alot less wacky chrome printed up compared to gpk chrome . im also guessing that alot of people are not going to pre order gpk chrome series 2 or wacky chrome series one ....... because of the major drop in gpk series one  prices.

so that being said , topps does print to order.  if this is severely underordered , then expect the price to stay around 700 or even go up. that is my fear.... so  ..... i will have to make a decision soon.

You bring up a valid point.  If the collector base for wackies disses this release due to lack of interest that will impact preorders and may cause Topps to drop production. So we may create a shorter run release on the Hobby version by not preordering.  The good part of that would be a better ability to score a blue or gold card. They are limited to 50 blues and 25 golds of each title. The fewer cards they print/ the better odds of pulling a blue or gold. This viewpoint will probably result in me going for at least two more boxes on preorder. I am at four now but may do another two from D & A next Thurs.  This rationale may be supported by the six month lead time on preorders for this release. That seems longer than we have had for the last few ANS and would support a "Print to Demand" strategy at least for the Hobby version which would limit Topps exposure.

It looks like there will be 5500 blues and 2750 golds so 8250 total.  Does anyone know how many ans11 hobby boxes were produced? It would nice to know there was a pretty good shot pulling at least one blue or gold per hobby box. I have not been able to find a third source to take a preorder besides blowout and D &A. I did find a few wholesalers pre-selling cases but only to dealers.

Can someone comment on the quality of GPK chrome cards? Are they dark like wacky packages foil stickers have been or are they more similar to how the vending machine wackys were printed?

you wont be dissapointed. the cards are amazing . im a big fan of gpk's and last year got into wacky packages . normaly i would be in for 2 cases of each . but for now  just 2 hobby boxes of each . then later on may get a case . theres no way im paying over 700 bucks for something that i can get a few months later for 400 . so yeah , theres damgers in pre ordering alot and in pre ordering too little ....... taking a chance this time around

potomac has the best deal going , if you pay up front  679.14 is the total . im tempted .

but the problem is , once again . if under ordered . look for immediate price increase upon release .

I don't have any myself, but looking at ebay auctions, it seems they are done better than the old wacky foils.
the old foils had the color printed on top of the foil, making it dark
these have foil and color separated, so the color is on the white paper, keeping the colors bright

might be hard to tell, but the entire background behind the character is 'chromed'

Thanks! I figured that's the way it would be but wanted to be sure before I decide to buy boxes or a case.

Didn't ANS11 preorder prices drop a lot as the release got closer? I wonder if that could happen again.

Potomac got back to me. They do not offer free shipping on any orders less than $150. I will prob do another two box order from D&A.  I would have to do three boxes at Potomac for free shipping.  Time will tell. Selling some stuff to raise funds.

Has it been confirmed if these are stickers or cards? I bought a TON of Flashbacks cause I love sticking the OS on outgoing letters, boxes, etc. I'll buy a bunch of these chromes if they're stickers. But if they're just cards, what's the point of getting more than just a base set?

The packs in the picture state  "4 cards"  so stickers do not seem to be in the mix. I don't think "refractors" are ever stickers.

I can handle a "non-sticker" Wacky release as I have so many WP Stickers already.

I think Potomac has the best price so far at $59.00 per box.

It is a re-issue of the die-cuts and ads, so they really should be cards anyways

Will there ever be other WP Chrome sets for the rest of the original Wacky Packages sticker series (Original sticker series 4 through 16 plus 1985 and 1991) in the future?

Just pulled the trigger on a 3 box Potomac Pre-order. Seven boxes pre-ordered now. Based on what I paid for the boxes at D&A, Blowout and Potomac I averaged $63.91 shipped cost per box or $2.66 per pack which works out to a little less than the $2.99 retail. I think I'm done now.  ;)

Cool!  Do we know if/how the contents of retail will vary from hobby/collector?  Any GPK collectors out there who can shed light on how it worked for GPK?
