HaHa, I know there is a Butcherfingers buy why did you call this Blooperfingers? I must be missing the gag?  :]

It's a parody of a parody (like Pat said, a wonky package): "Pocket knifee"

Here are my pulls - finally, one color one. Disappointed to not get any of Neil Camera's Mallow Cup or glow pop sketches. My favorite here are the Kirscht's and the Joe Simko It Kats.

I think you did pretty well. At least you pulled a Camera sketch. I have the worst luck pulling Neil's sketches.

I keep hoping that some of the Camera ones I like will show up on Ebay so at least I'd have a chance of owning them -
they have just the right amount of spookiness and 1930s Fleischer cartoon look about them!

Did I mention, I love 1930's Fleischer cartoons! Almost as much as MGM T&J cartoons, which are better than Van Beuren's and early Lantz cartoons, but not quite as good as some post-war Paramount titles. Now see what you did?! I've gone completely off-topic...

I'm familiar with most of those! You like the post-war Paramount titles? Like Little Audrey and Casper? Or are you referring to Little Lulu (can't recall if shes postwar) or others? Hanna Barbera(sp) T&Js were magnificently animated IMO, but to me, 30s Flesichers were the most interestingly animated, esp precode Koko and Betty Boop. The jazz cameos by Cab Calloway were 'awesome'...and your eerie ghost and skull sketches for this series remind me of those cartoons...A

Yep, the early Casper animations were absolutely beautiful...

Love the Fleischer black & white stuff too!

The black & white Popeye cartoons still crack me up!  Just thinking about them puts the "flying trapeze" music in my head.

The b&w Popeye's are classic - I recall Olive Oyl's voice being done by the same woman who did Betty Boop, but I could be mistaken. Among my favorites are the three "mini-movie" color specials: Sindbad the Sailor, Ali Baba & the forty thieves, and Aladdin's Lamp. They did some cool 3-D effects in one or more of those. I remember finding bargain bin VHS tapes of these back in the day - have been thinking about finding them on DVD via Netflix one of these days.

Also I recall (and this was a long time ago now) that in the actual comics Olive had a brother named Castor - reminded me of the fourth and fifth Marx Brothers for some reason.

Speaking of Betty Boop (we're getting way off track here) I was parked next to this car at Walmart a couple weeks ago.

Yes, I remember the trapeeze cartoon too (Rawgoo) and the gay 90s style drawing of the flying artist. Mae Questal(sp) was the voice and she must have voiced dozens of characters as I recall her distinctive sound all through my childhood!
The vintage color popeyes were like little movies in themselves - I've always wanted to see one on the big screen to catch all the details. Magnificently animated too. And the rest of the old b/w popeyes had alot of the characters from the Thimble Theatre comic strip like sweepea, the jeep and Pappy as well as Wimpy and Brutus/Bluto (missing was HamNEgg and Castor). Bluto always bothered me as a kid though, esp in the later colors, as he seemed like a rapist! Having a younger sister, I was hoping that she wasn't bothered like Olive was by a goon like Brutus...

It would be a lot of fun. The Betty Boop stuff is all hand painted. A lot of time was spent on this.

I'm surprised I haven't seen any halloween comics sketches pulled yet - think Neil or Joe Simko posted one of theirs.
Is Topps saving these as give-aways?

I was under the impression that the comic sketches were not part of the Halloween postcard sketches.  Hoping they'll do give-aways soon!

After weeks of term papers, projects and finals, I was finally able to sit down and open my Halloween stuff. It was all shipped in a brown box and just thrown inside. Glad I didn't order anything that could have gotten smashed really bad. Anyway, for years I have wished in vain to pull a Smokin' Joe sketch. What I pull is what I pull and I have been happy with that. I finally got my Smokin' Joe sketch and I love it. Here it is:

For some reason this makes me think of Gollum as rendered by Mort Drucker.
