I found you need to have the volume buttons on top for a good photo. The other way will turn them upside down.
BTW Now that you have found the mysterious 'C' version I'm going to actually sort my 3000 base cards. As much as I hate sorting I love a mystery.

I can neither confirm or deny the existence of a 'C' back but I have a #25 with the billboard and #9 with a checklist back. I actually have 2 #9's.

I don't understand how only 3 titles are getting variations. I also don't understand why he's listing 3 of these at once. He's not helping himself sell them that way.

Well, amazingly, after selling 10 base sets I have three #9s left. One of my #9s is the rare variant! Out of only 3 cards left to search lol!

I did my canvas, red, silver and blue backs. I found none. Tim says he opened 50 cases and only found 2. I opened 6 cases and some target packs and only found 2. I am not sure on the rarity of these. I don't feel they are "100.00" dollar rare like some of the auctions I have seen though.

I will have to check at lunch but I am almost positive my #55 has an American Pickers billboard back on it. I did not see any cards with a checklist back in the 2 collector boxes I opened.

#55 should have either a billboard or checklist.

I opened 7 cases and only pulled one so I do believe that they truly are rare. Early odds appear to be about one in ten cases. Only time will tell if the completists will want these three stickers. $50 to $75 seems like a fair price at this time. Let's see how many more will surface over the next few weeks.

With the #9 variant that makes 3 cards with checklist backs. #49 and #55 commonly have a checklist back.

I was just sorting my collector pack contents, and found a C card.
And realized that these are incredibly easy to spot - at least while you are opening the packs.

the 4th card down is *never* a common base card. and that's exactly where my Horderland 2 'C' version was located.
it looked like it was just a common base card, but because of its position in the pack, I knew that it couldn't be.
I turned it over, and boom, it had a billboard back.

That explains it! I opened 3 packs with the 4th card as being a common. I thought I got screwed out of bonus card. I think I did because out of 12 cases I was shorted 3 lost wacky's. I don't know the sorting process Topps uses but could those 'C' variations have been mixed with all the chase stuff? Interesting....

If the variant cards are placed in that position usually for the chase cards then those variants are deliberate and Topps knows they are special. Does this preclude them being in the regular boxes? And will they also show up as red borders and canvas cards not to mention gold and pencil versions?

Topps did a similar thing with the last GPKs - inserting unannounced C variants. So it's definitely intentional and not an accident.

with GPKs they were only put into the hobby boxes, so I'll guess the same here - only the collector boxes have them. And I seriously hope there are no alternate border versions.

I think the 'C' variation stuff is exclusive to the collectors cases
Haven't seen any in my search of the Hobby cases
