I am trying to figure out how many boxes the forum members purchased from Topps.

I only preordered 3 boxes. I finally broke down and opened them last week (that was a long 2 months). No colored sketches. I did get a B&W Pupsi which is my fave of the sketch cards.

Since the markers I used on the color sketch cards are alcohol based, I wonder if they have any trained dogs that can sniff out alcohol residue. Then I wouldn't have to open any boxes to find the color sketch cards. Or perhaps there is some kind of mechanical alcohol detection device.

Jay, I wish I would have had one of those dogs then I wouldn't have had to open so many boxes. You did a great job. If you are going to do this again I have some suggestions to make it even better..............

3) Chicken Fat
4) Fishbone

?? (hopefully I'll have the strength to keep it sealed!)

I was planning on buying 2 or 3 more boxes (for a rainy day) when the inventory number got below 100. Unfortunately, it seems like people got in a buying frenzy when the # remaining got to about 150, so I never got the chance. Oh well, I'm pretty content with what I got out of this series.

Pulled a Dr. Popper b&w from my last box, which I turned around and sold for $160.

At least you got a Batz out of your initial 5 boxes. That probably paid for the 5 boxes alone. Good job! Now open that last box

I am honestly not 100% sure, I have 6 sealed boxes including 5 that are still in the box Topps shipped to me. I think I ordered 9 during the preorder and this box of 5 so that makes 14. Pulled one Nitwit, no colors.

I have nearly 50 sketches, my keeper set of 22, the extra set of 21(was 18 on ebay but has been adjusted) and a small stash of extras. I picked up several lots off ebay and made some trades over the months as I preferred to get my set that way instead of killing a bunch of boxes.
