I guess we will wait to see the pricing and the approved list of characters, but this seems like a very good opportunity for sketch enthusiasts. Not sure what to make of Brad's silence on this topic... You okay out there Brad?

Brad is busy right now making a few more sales to fund this new sketch release!

Of course I am anxious to see the dropdown menu and the titles that will be available. I kinda wish we could order any title we wanted. Hope they include a wide range such as ANS, bonus cards, postcards, a few from the Irish series, 1985, etc   

The ads say the program kicks off in June and runs for a very short time – every month a new theme, a different Topps brand, with June featuring Wacky Packages. I wonder if each brand will get one month, and that will be it, or will they go around the horn a few times? In other words, will they release Wackys in June, GPK in July, and Mars Attacks in August, and then Wackys again in September? Or will this be a one month / one shot deal...

And will featured artist sketches cost the same as rookie sketches? Sorry, I just had to bring that up

Topps will probably offer the same old, tired titles they always do. There are so many great titles that are never used for inserts and sketches etc.

The rookie sketches will be a gamble. Anyone who is not fast on the draw will have no other choice but to roll the dice.

Sorry Scot, I had yesterday off and was pretty busy. I don't know what to make of this since there isn't much detail. I need to know what characters and price. I have so many sketches now and they pretty much cover most characters I'm interested in except for the cigs and booze gags. I'm sure Topps won't allow those either.

There are only a couple more characters I would love to get so I need to see the list. Also, There is no way I'm taking a chance on a rookie artist without seeing their work first.

This is definitely an interesting development!  Before I can say whether I'll be participating, however, I want to know more details.  I'd like to do at least one commissioned sketch, but whether it goes beyond that will depend on price, character availability, etc.

I was able to get thru!  They had an limited option for color sketches.  It said only 5 available per artist.  Sorry guys I bought all 25 of them.  Going to sell them all on E-Bay.  Topps then said they Canceled the series.

I am not even sure I will participate in the Artists on Demand campaign, however, why hasn't it started.  They say that it is coming June 3rd and that was yesterday.  No word on why it hasn't started.  No word on when, or if, it will ever start.

Topps feels absolutely no responsibility to treat customers with respect.  I guess they just figure that the product will sell so who cares if the people are inconvenienced.  I really believe that Topps has the worst marketing plan when it comes to promoting "happy customers." 

I bet if we look really close at the inner workings of the Topps empire, we might just see that the hamster has died on the wheel and nobody noticed.

Oh well...

Its pretty easy to update a webpage. You would think at the very least, Topps could update to show the Artist-on-Demand offering is delayed. They have most of us signed up for their newletters.  They should send out a quick blurb... Sorry we missed the June 3rd kickoff, yada-yada.   I manage a technical Help Desk. Excellent, excellent point.  I've often thought about it but never heard it articulated so well!
