Sort of...some of the artist's sketches are direct from the comics (ie, Jay's "Hairy Mane, Brent's "Ground hog day", etc). But some of the artists chose to draw separate panels. This would allow them to expand on the page layout so that they could do irregular shaped panels. So potentially, you might get something completely unique in your sketch card!

Thanks Neil, you explained that a lot better than I did!!

I thought it sounded a little tongue-twisted, so I edited my original post. Hopefully, it's a little clearer...

Was about to post the sketch card I pulled and it sounds like it fits your description, Neil - really like it btw! - I noticed immediately it differs from the comic book and I love the fact that it does (sorry is slightly out-of-focus and is inside sleeve/toploader):

I did wish Topps had done the Groundhog's Day and Holiday comics such that buying 3 got you a sketch card. I'd love to have one of each of these but figure it's going to be pretty tough.

I think expando doesn't like postimage.org images - uploaded to a site and now is working.  :great:

I can't seem to get my iPhone's camera to focus properly - funny the old Droid camera was easy - think I need to just buy a camera! ;)

My first order came in and I got binders, cereal boxes for the first time, an OS4 box and of course the magazines. They forgot to include the Ground Hog Day magazine...grrrrrr....disappointing as I have to contact them again...

The Holdiay card is #31/92. I was originally disappointed to get a PC sketch, but after I looked at it I really came to like the Joe Simko drawing. What wacky product is on the OS4 J.Brower sketch?

That Marigold sketch is great. Nice pull!

Here's my funpack pulls. I had only purchased one OS4 box in the past, and wanted to get more, so this was a chance to pick up a few more and get a couple of fun packs to go along with them.
I got three OS4 boxes and the comics 3-5, so it went just over $200 qualifying me for two of the packs.
The Fun Packs held an April sketch, one of the 35 or 36 by Brent Engstrom and there was one from the Neil Camera comic, a nice low number at that, 7 of 92.
My three old school boxes had a Lynch, Parisi, and a Gambino. The box I'd purchased previously had a nice Parisi, so not too shabby, altogether.
One kind of odd thing, out of all 4 boxes, I received only ONE single white back wrapper sticker, and no promos or logo cards. I did really well with the Ludbacks on those, at least, but it was a really lopsided mix to be sure. I'll post the OS4 sketches from the boxes over on that thread.

I hadn't noticed the mustache, haha
I wonder if Brent did that the ones he didn't sign, because I have seen one signed, and I don't remember seeing the mustache.

My April Fool Engstrom sketch wasn't signed, and there's no mustache.  That's a nice touch!

My 2 Annual Wacky Day sketches from my OS4 order -

Holiday one is my Neil Camera (doesn't really look like his style to me though) and J. Simko did the Annual Wacky one on the right - not in the comic but a great drawing! Wish I had ordered more OS4 boxes, lol...

That one seems to be a popular one on this board - guess many hadn't seen a sketch on this wacky before.

Yeah, it's the first one that I've seen. :great: I suppose they were common in the series 7 PC set?

That's definitely me. It probably looks different because I used a technical pen with greys on the sketch cards whereas on the comic I used a crow quill pen. Totally different looks.

Any idea what the “3” means in this sketch?

I have a nagging question about the Chef Girl-ar-dee title. It’s very possible it has been discussed before, and I’m not remembering. What does “Net Wt. 1MS.” mean?  I assume it’s a gag but don’t get it. Or is it a typo?

I thought it meant "one Ms.", as opposed to "one Mrs." or "one Miss".

I'm setting aside some time to read through all the comics - haven't actually read any of them yet and just got the holiday one with this last april fool's order. Going to be fun reading them all! :)

The comic is awesome.  All the stories are great but my 9 year old son Josh laughed hardest at Smokin Joe's 'Stick Anyplace.'

Thanks Neil!  I knew there were size differences, but your side by side also shows how the sketch is more detailed than the comic book panel.

I mix them with my postcards because the first 2 comics had sketches mixed with the other postcard sketches.

What is the deal with all the PC 7 sketches showing up? These are all from the April event from Topps. There have been around 20 showing up already. I thought Topps sold out? Is this a percentage they hang on to I case of missing or damaged orders?
It's strang because a lot of the good ones and stuff that hasn't shown up before is showing up now.

I know!  I've had to modify the master list twice already.  Still not sure how to include one unusual sketch I just became aware of.

I thought there was supposed to be Wacky Specials during  the entire month of The First Annual Wacky April.  So far, there was only the 3 Day special on the first three days.  I called Topps and one of the customer service representatives said that there was nothing else planned at this time.   Anyone hear any news or should we just wait for the postcards?
