I got a message back and they will update the site as soon as they know how many cases they have coming in. Keep checking.

I put an order in with Sports Images for both the Hobby boxes and Collector boxes, and the pre-orders had to be placed by 12/12.

The January Previews will even have pre-orders hopefully.
the January Previews order form came out this weekend, and shockingly it does not have them available.

GPK BNS 2 is listed, but Wacky ANS 10 is not. Maybe Topps decided too late to make the submission date of the publication.

Or maybe runor has it Topps may push the ANS10 release date a month later to April 2013 and have the Feb. 2013 Previews feature it.

Has Topps decided to use "BNS" for GPK's and "ANS" for Wacky Packages?

Now that we are in 2013, let's hope for February we see Previews offering Pre orders and for March a checklist of the ANS10 lineup.

The Blowout cards page mentions the Q3 2013 release in regards to the create a wacky challenge on facebook. Does this mean that there will be an ANS12 by the end of the year?

Well, we might see ANS12 in early to mid 2014.

Still looking to get the collectors boxes.  Can only find the hobby boxes.  Has anyone found a source that we can get the collectors boxes from.

I'm mystified over why these hobby sites can't get these boxes. It would seem they are retail only, but who is going to by $5 packs with only 6 stickers in retail stores? Not many.

I was thinking the collector versions would not go retail - as some incentives are 1 per case - and that those bonus cards would be box-toppers, not hidden in the packs.
but maybe not?

Blowout Cards is pre-selling the ANS10 Collector Edition by box and case:

Box - 84.99 - http://www.blowoutcards.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_84&products_id=7619

6-Box Case - 499.99 - http://www.blowoutcards.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7614

I wonder who will be trying to complete the subsets? At one per case, the 3 Lost Wacky titles will be tough/expensive. Even one $500 6-box case won't get you the 8 bonus cards.

The brand new Non-Sport Update magazine (the TV show Fringe is on the cover) features a full-page ad for the ANS10 Collector Edition release, including an updated box image and a few titles not shown elsewhere. Go get it, true believers! (I am not a paid shill for NSU.)

...And one last tidbit on ANS10 for the day: anyone who follows Jeff Zapata on Facebook was treated over the weekend to a peek at some of his ANS10 sketch cards.

$84.99 for a box?? Will it be cheaper in Previews Feb. 2013?

Of course there's the 24 pack box.

And I hope to see a ANS10 preliminary list by the end of January or start of Feb.

no. Previews lists full retail prices, which is what those prices are.

there are lower prices at other sites, like Potomac, for $69/box, $399/case

I'm still looking forward to the base set and regular inserts, but that's it for me.  Will just have to see the rare bonus and lost titles here, or on ebay.

This is pretty outrageous. I thought packs were to be $4.95 a pack, but at these prices we'd be paying $5.95 a pack, so prices are a $1 per pack higher than we thought and we'd get no discount for ordering an entire case. This looks to be a total fiasco, probably ending the runs of all people collecting all the Ludlow backs.

Well, think of this:
* This year marks the 40th. anniversary of the first Wacky Packages Peel and Stick stickers.
* Next year will mark 10 years since the Wacky Packages All New Series was launched.

Only was able to complete my Olds 3 back variations due to trading on this forum. Other than that, it would not have been possible.

If they had been distributed evenly, like last time, it would have been fun.  I ordered extra boxes in anticipation of completing ludlow variation sets, but, sadly, I ended up with about 7 sets, all with the same back versions.

I'm sure in the future an order of boxes will yield all the other ludlow versions, but I've already spent my Old School 4 money, and can't see myself ordering more boxes.

While I'm kind of surprised to hear the resistance to ANS10, I am in full agreement.  I'm not sure which bothers me more (though the two are clearly connected), the rising price or sheer complexity of trying to complete a full set.  Like most collectors, I suspect, I'm a completist.  I loved how the early all new series had what, IMO, was a managable way to "collect them all" without spending a fortune.  You could buy a base set cheaply, or get the base with the two inserts sets and the 2-5 bonus cards.  Now, the challenge is so great that, without studying it more in depth, I'm likely to simply get a base set and the magnet subset.  Perhaps I'll pick up a bit more, but we'll see.  Perhaps it's due to a more restricted money supply or changing life situations/priorities, but ANS is getting further and further away from how I want to spend my time and money.

Personally, I don't care too much about completing the border color variants or the cardback variants, but I'm disappointed they are making the bonus cards (new parodies?) and Lost Wackies (titles never printed before?) extremely limited.

Well I'm excited about the addition of Buy Backs and the return of Autographs and Printing Plates.  Very curious to see who they get to sign this time.  I hope they are more like the ANS 7 autographs then the Mars Attacks ones.

I feel the same way about the bonus cards and Lost Wackys.  They've made a number of specific titles ridiculously hard to get, and I shall not try.  I've refined my definition of 'collecting them all' with Wackys several times over the past few years, what with gold borders, autographs, and sketches, but have always been able to get one of every sticker/card title.  This will mark the first time I will not be able to do that with a Wacky set.

Topps should take a look at how Playmates Toys wrecked a great thing with their "1701" limited Star Trek figures.  There's a lesson to be learned there..........
