Like most of us, I run into Mark's artwork all over the internet.

This one, I saw tonight on a Psychology forum, takes the cake.

At least that one kept the attribution.
I had a business ethics class last year that included an off the mark on the last page of the PowerPoint, on the 'any questions?' Slide.
My question was "why are you using copyrighted material without attribution in a lesson on business ethics?"

Excellent question!!  What was the response?

Something lame like "we'll have to look into that and make corrections if needed"

Funny - my original question was going to be "What was the lame response?" but I thought maybe I was presuming too much, so I took the "lame" out.

I have a new middle-grade chapter book out with HarperCollins called Marty Pants.
I wanted to show the couple Wacky Packages influences. First, I designed the logo to emulate the way the letters in the Wacky Packages logo randomly overlap each other. Also included a Wackyish parody of Depends (Deepens).

Mark, thanks for the heads up I just snagged a copy.  Congrats on your first of a line of middle-grade  chapter books.  Let's hope the series goes on for as long as 'Off The Mark' has!

That would be great!  I've ordered my copies.

Congrats again on your successful series!  My secretary's grandkids are anxiously awaiting this, as am I.

Update 2/12/18 - Received my order, and thought it was another great book, both story and illustrations.  My mom's reading it now, and enjoying it.  Tomorrow I'll give my secretary her copy, so I hope to have reviews from young readers in the near future.

Is "Do Not Open" in a second printing?  Hope so!

Thanks for your feedback! I tried to write the books so a kid or an adult could enjoy it.

Sales have been OK, not great. Certainly not good enough to have a second printing at this point. Unfortunately, the promotion for the books hasn't been that strong. I'm really proud of them and hope they can break through.

Reviews on Amazon are always appreciated!

For the March 9, 2018 OFF THE MARK strip, Mark Parisi did a Wacky Packages take on a vintage Beatles record album in memory of the late Mort Walker who created the Beetle Bailey comic strip:

(Now I wonder, will the next Wacky Packages Old School series (#7) ever do a Wacky Packages take on a vintage vinyl record album - Beatles or not? Maybe a Wacky Packages take on the Saturday Night Fever movie soundtrack for Old School 7 is possible)

An OS set based on 60's-70's vintage vinyl would be awesome, as would movie posters from the same era.  I remember liking the concept as used in the 'Silly CDs" release, but most of the music and artwork was less familiar to me and therefore didnt inspire the gut reaction that an iconic rock LP title would.

Mark's Beetles/Beatles parody is a good example of the untapped potential there.
