SOLD-Newbie here, looking to sell 1973 1st Series
« on: June 11, 2012, 10:01:40 AM »
Hi everyone!

I have 1973 1st Series cards, white backs. Missing: Fink, Lavirus, Mutts and Cover Ghoul. I have extras of: Duzn't, 6 up, Maddie Boy, Quaker Oats, Weakies and Mrs Klean.

Have one complete Gadzooka puzzle and many extra pieces.

Is Ebay the best place to sell these? Anyone have pricing advice for me?

Thanks.

Hey now....  ;D

Sell on ebay, the more work you put into it the more you will get ie, more detailed pics takes longer but can result in more $.  Welcome to the hobby!  Are you also collecting to fill out your keeper sets?

Looks like there are lots of these cards just sitting on Ebay...

I'm not a collector, well, I was when I was a kid and I collected these. Now I am at a point where I am trying to unload some of the stuff.

yes, there is probably more supply than demand for almost all original series wackys right now, need to wait until today's kids collecting the new wackys get nostalgic in about 25 years like many of us did 10 years ago.  If your series one set is in decent shape, you might net around $200 for it.

All are in excellent to near mint condition except there is a tear on Kook-Aid. Here are photos of some of the more rare ones.

I would rather just unload the whole set and not have to deal with EBay. Make me an offer!

Here are the backs of Paul Maul and Band Ache. None of the set has any writing on it. Again, Kook-Aid is torn. From a non-smoking home.

So can some of the vintage collectors remind me what the deal is with the blue lines?  I know that the 79 test pack cards don't have the blue lines, but i don't know much about how many series 1's don't have them, or even what the purpose was for having them in the first place.
