Wacky Packages Warehouse Finds?
« on: May 10, 2012, 08:48:42 AM »
Good Morning:

Has anyone noticed that Kruk Cards seems to have an endless supply of boxes and set of the 1979-80 Reissue releases, 1982 release, 1985 release, 1986 release and 1991 release?  They have posted hundreds of boxes, sets and sheets over the past few months. I am sure that they purchased cases that were discovered in a warehouse. I originally thought that the 1982 and 1985 releases were fairy rare. Has there been any recent history or stories of huge Wacky Packages finds?  I remember the story about the 1976 Wacky Packages case finds but I have not heard anything since this. Any thoughts, stories or opinions?

Thanks,

Jeff

The most famous example is the 1st re-issue uncut sheets. Given the large amount of 1986 material, that must have emerged in some similar fashion, I guess.

I don't think the 1985 unopened material is particularly rare, though it may not be as abundant as the series 1 and 3 re-issues. THe 1982 unopened material seems a little rarer.

I noticed he had tons of 1985 boxes, didn't really notice all of the other stuff.  Awhile back before it became obvious he had a ton of 1985 boxes, I offered him $125 for a box on one of his $199 or Best offer auctions, he countered with $175 so I declined as my offers are not fishing trips, they are most often my best offer...now it looks like he is hard pressed to get $125 for the boxes.

Do you have this seller's ebay ID? I'm looking for a nice 1982 & 1985 display box & if they have boxes of material, maybe they have some nice examples available..
