On the www.midtowncomics.com site you can now pre-order Wacky Packages ANS9, the info for it even shows 2 entries in the ANS9 base series as well as info that includes a new subset dealing with spoofing iPad/iPhone apps.

Holy Crap! They are giving a 20% discount on a $60 box? $60 retail? Are we up to $3 a pack now?

somebody is off somewhere.
previews mag says they're $2.09/pack, but midtown and tfaw.com say $60/box, which is roughly $2.49/pack.

Even at $2.09 that's a nice round number to deal with ;)
Something is a bit off with these prices. I'll wait a bit for ordering.

Yep, sure is!
Same little ad and write up that's out there on the websites like tfaw.com, Westfield comics, etc.
I thought it was a pretty amazing multi-page spread and write up for the Mars Attacks cards. Huge push for those!!

also, Topps has a promo card for Mars Attacks that will be given out at ComicCon 2012.
not sure if that means Topps will actually have a booth again - but if so, could there also be an ANS9 promo too?

I'd like to see in a Wacky Packages Old School set a spoof of Mars Attacks called "Pars Attacks!" or "Hearts Attacks!"

yeah, there's a list out (with some TBD's still). Maybe topps is trying to skew this one even more to younger kids, as there's an odd subset spoofing stuff involving Justin Beiber, Hunger Games and Katy Perry

Yikes. I decided to pass on collecting ANS9 directly and am sticking with OLDS and the Postcards. I think this news is even more reason for my decision!  :-\

Thanks for the link you sent via PM. Maybe Topps figures with Old School geared to the old timers, ANS ought to skew to the kids more. Looking forward to the series!

I'm really wondering if ans 9 is going 2 b delayed. With the release date less than 4 months away, i thought we would have some sort of preview by now!

That would be fine with me.  Too many back to back series and it's hard to keep up with it.  If you collected the 2nd Cereal Killer release we had 3 separate releases all within a 30 day period.
