So then so far all we have about series 9 is a scheduled release of late July, 2 titles and a crap app subset. We should have more by now! I hope something surfaces soon!

You can't call apps the C word.

Hopefully by the end of this month or May slamjim or someone else may come out with a ANS9 press release.

AWFUL APPS, to be exact.

And, was it slamjim or someone else who drew the 2 upcoming ANS9 entries (Corn Butts and Super Mario Mothers) seen in Previews recently?

It's a mystery. You need to wait 3 months like the rest of us. I'm always excited about a new series but you seem to be crazy about the hype.

I am never crazy about hype, but I can't hype about slamjim's life problems.

How did your Olds3 sketch keeper collection end up in comparison to your Olds2 keepers? Also, how do you rate your overall sketch & collection "processing experience?" I was able to complete my olds3 set (without ludlow camel variations) and 1 keeper sketch. With the majority of sketches selling between $10 to $25, I really didn't have the luxury of going through 60 or 70 boxes this time around as in Olds2. The economics just doesn't work for me to do this anymore.

Most of the stuff that is selling cheap is pretty common. I think I ended up with about 165 OLDS3 sketches and 14 of those being color. That's the most color I've retained. I think with OLDS2 I ended up with about 225 sketches. This did cost me this time around. I think I have about $3K-$4K in it. I never kept track this time for whatever reason. Overall it's been a fun experience but I can wait for OLDS4...LOL
I could never be happy with just one sketch. There are too many cool character variations along with amazing drawings by most of the artists. The hardest artists for me this round are Wheaton, Simko, & Zapata. Wheaton's were very tough for me overall.

I would have thought Topps would have the dude on the copier to get Wacky "Packages". Go figure.
This looks more like how they get Garbage Tail Kids promos. I know, I know... here's the line and here's how much I crossed it.

It's not coming out for at least 3 months so give it some time. Call Topps and see what info they give out. They are not on the forum so it's all word of mouth right now. Give it time.

Nah, I think it's that they don't care too much about ans9 . Mars Attacks comes out the same day, and they are pushing that like mad. Sell sheets, card lists, promos, bobble heads, you name it. It's the new hot property. Why waste money on an established series where sales figures won't really change.

The May Previews doesn't even have an ad for ANS9 with some more previews to follow up the April ANS9 Previews listing.

I asked Mike J. about it and he said its coming out in July - he had no promos, pictures or anything else...

David Gross did have a nice picture of a OLDS4 Concept RAY-O-VAC - can't remember the gag be it was really cool - maybe Dave can post a picture of it...

Ah, you missed the folder. They had a folder with a number of ANS9 previews in it. At least 5 or 6 pieces and some of the subset stuff.

I'll see if I can post the Ray-O-Vac painting.
