HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THIS?
« on: January 01, 2012, 04:00:23 PM »
I know this auction ended in 2009, but has anyone else ever heard of this? This is a first for me when my friend sent me the link today:

There have been a few over the years on E-bay. I think that is the most famous one i've seen though.

You're in luck, the Munson should exist because all of these are from the 2nd series (#'s 133-264), and Munson is #142. I think at one point Kirk Daniel had more than half of the 132 cards that exist.

Holy crap, I never knew there was a pattern to this.  Have any duplicates titles shown up ie, is there any chance more than one sheet had this error?  I have Horace Clark, Blyleven and Koosman so I have a Yankee, a Met and a HOFer which I found to be satisfying.

I owned one of those once that had a picture of the all-star team on the front.  I think I sold it for @ $125.00.

Yeah, it didn't seem to fit into any category that I collect and I would forget I even had it, so I decided to dump it.  It is a pretty cool oddball item though.  I originally bought it from Kirk Daniel and I know he had several of them, because he gave me several to choose from.

I have just one of these, a Ken Singleton. They don't surface often.

I believe Kirk stumbled across a guy who had a couple dozen of these.  I came across someone who claimed they had 20-30 and had sold them already so I assumed Kirk was the buyer since Kirk suddenly had tons of them.

Clarke = 198
Blyleven = 199
Koosman = 184

Don't know about dupes, though it could certainly have taken a few sheets to notice the error.

Singleton = 232

I'm not sure after all these years, but I seem to remember having one of these as a kid.
