Is this a true color sketch?
« on: December 01, 2011, 12:31:26 PM »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-WACKY-PACKAGES-drawing-Bhob-Stewart-/310362380141?_trksid=p5197.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26itu%3DI%252BUA%26otn%3D12%26pmod%3D310362664397%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4590572069682979987

I was searching on E-Bay and this seller has (4) color sketches up done by BHOB.  I just am leary, that he happens to have (4) do these look like someone else colored them in?  I truely do not know.

I got a message from Leslie and she has the Ms. Clean and Scary Lee. I'm confused if these are real or not because from what we could all tell is that he only colored one of each character.

These could be return cards or ones he colored in - looks like he's an artist...time to ask him questions..hmmm

I am sure Dave can shed some light on this...with a little research... ;D

I thought that also, however if you had a return sketch wouldn't you want to make it as ( no other way to put this) enticing as possible.

I just talked to Bhob and he says they're legit.

And my auction for a color sketch card has ten hours to go.   http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260904072173&ssPageName=ADME%3AL%3ALCA%3AUS%3A1123

Yours are legit? right?? ;D ;D

BTW.that seller is also selling some X-rated Wally Wood pages - pencil drawings...look legit as well..something from the 70's that was destined for an x-rate mag?? would he have done those?? or were they destined for MAD Magazine?

If you look at the seller's other stuff, it is by Wood,  as well as by Bill Pearson and Bhob (Both of whom were Wally Wood's assistants in the '60s). Pearson later took over editorship of Wood's WITZEND magazine when Wood was too busy to continue editing it.  When Wood died, Pearson became the custodian of his art.   Neither Bill nor Bhob of  'em does ebay...so they gave this stuff to a friend of theirs to sell for them. Wood did all kinds of stuff, including X-rated stuff.

Pervert...It was at the bottom of the page for me, but you need to enter a credit card just to see it. I'm a perv, but not credit card pervy.

Aaah....  This sketchcard stuff is the bunk!  It's gotta be Wackys, eh?  I don't think so!   http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260907723706
