Old Book Collection For Sale-Twain,Tolstoy,Wells+
« on: August 04, 2011, 04:14:21 PM »
I didn't know where else to put this.  I thought maybe someone on the forum might collect these.  If you hve no interest, sorry to bore you. :'(  But maybe you have a friend who would be interested.  I'm just posting here before resorting to Ebay and splitting the collection up.

I recently purchased a bunch of classic books from a garage sale.  They are from late 1800s to early 1900s.  Authors include Dickens, Shakespeare, Tolstoy, Twain, and Wells.  I looked them up on Ebay and some go for descent amounts.  I would sell them for below the Ebay prices if somebody is interested in the whole collection.  If you are interested or know somebody who would be, please e-mail me at brendana@live.com or send me a PM.  Thank you.  ;)

Well I can make a detailed list if somebody wants it.   Off the top of my head there are King Arthur, Robinson Crusoe, Grimm's Fairy Tales, and Andersens Fairy Tales all from 1917.  1952 Complete Works of Shakespeare.  An undated English War and peace by Tolstoy.  Christmas Stories by Dickens.  Tom Sawyer by Twain.  The oldest book is from 1986.  There are some teaching books from the 1940s.  There are about 50 books total.  I can make a complete list.

When you said "Wells", I assume you mean H.G. ?

Which titles and how old?

I wouldn't mind seeing a list with titles, authors, illustrators, publication date and edition (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.). I have a friend who is interested to know what you are offering.

Ha that's crazy, especially about the online articles.  Most of the books I have can be found on eBay I think though.
