kooky Card info
« on: April 09, 2011, 09:40:49 AM »
Me and my brother are creating 30 parody titles for our new parody card series kooky cards www.kookycards.webs.com
we want to know how many people would by a full set of 30 cards and a sketch card for $24.00 or a single pack of 5 cards for $1.00 there would be shipping and handling fees... please comment below and say which one you would most likely buy... we want to have a rough estimate of how many cards to print... the series should be out sometime in may

Thank you,

I would buy a set if they looked cool.
Are the images on your site roughs or what the stickers will actually look like? Please advise.

I would be more likely to buy 20 packs of 5.  Out of the 100 cards they would contain, it would be likely I'd get a set.  Plus ,  if you randomly insert  setch cards in the packs, there is the chance of getting one as well.
The thing is, if you package them as $1 items...and it costs you the same as if you packaged them as sets, you would have a greater chance of selling 'em all, since a dollar to most people isn't much...but $24 is something they have to think about.

That said, however, I would purchace a set for $24 if that's what you wind up doing.

I mean....If you wind up selling 'em at your school or something, most kids have a dollar and few have $24.  So if you think that you'd sell 'em mostly as impulse items, then a buck a pack is the way to go.  and if you think you'd sell 'em mostly to collectors as sets, then $24 a set is the way to go.

Then at a buck a pack...it could evolve into a collector's forum, where people trade 'em on the internet.     Then collectable erasers.  And ultimately world domination!

Will they be cards or stickers?  Do you already have a printer in mind?  If not Dr. Popper might be able to offer some suggestions as I believe that is the business he's in.  Also, when you do the packs, will they be wax or packs similar to what Package Parodies has offered or something different entirely?

I'm thinking of having this company do it.... http://www.highqualityprints.com/products/tradingcards-digital they might be cards like the bonus ones you get included with the wacky pack postcards.... if dr popper prints quality sticker cards then i might look into that more....

Yup. This will never happen.
I remember as a kid I wanted to build an airplane and fly around the neighborhood. That idea lasted about a year or so as I was gathering wood and storing it in an empty field. Guess what? I discovered girls and somehow my interest changed...LOL
