I'm not sure on the price yet. They are trying to get a better deal with the binder people to get the price a buck or so lower than planned.

I have a pic of the side and back but they asked me not to post those yet. They are very nice.

That's great, Dave!  I've been very much looking forward to the binder and am glad it's not too far off.

On a somewhat related subject, do you think Topps would ever make a binder for the ANS 1-6 sets?  Especially if Topps starts over renumbering the series (in other words, not ANS7) with the next set of new products, I would love to have all six ANS sets in one nice attractive binder.  Geez, for that matter, why not make one binder that would fit OS 1-16?

Topps is going to be in the binder business for awhile.

I would love to see a set of official Original Series binders too.  No reason that NSU should have the only ones out there.

That's great!  I would think that, once Topps gets a good supplier for binders, they could make them for their sports card lines, other nonsports, and old time sets as well.  I'd like to see one for the Star Wars Galaxy sets, for example.  I'd also love it if they could do older sports card sets.  I was a collectin' freak for 77 and 78 foolball, 78 beanball, and 77-78 bustedball.

So do you believe there is going to be a separate binder for each series of Old School and such?

Yes, based on how much it cost to produce they have a fair price on it (though I'm not 100% sure of the EXACT price I have a general number that was told to me). You should know that in a week or so.

Well that is good news!
BTW, are the sheets inside the binder quality like Ultra Pro where they are acid/PVC free or are they basic to keep costs down?

From what I understand everything is high quality including the sleeves.  The bonus items for the OLDS binder and the postcard binder are both different and both dynamite.

What an amazing year for Wacky Packages. I showed these to a friend I had not seen in many years and went to Elementary together and we had a good time looking over and thinking back at what these products were about and shared some good laughs. He loved Gee Your Hair Smells Horrific.

Its great to hear that there will be a Wacky Binder as well with some more bonus stuff and OLDS 2 later this year along with a new ANS.

Hey Dave,

I've been away from the forum a while and was anxious to see the latest news on binders.  Really anxious to hear about the bonus item....maybe a teabag parody that we already know of?   8)

Would love to hear the latest.

thanks
David

That shouldn't stop us from speculating. How about ... a cardboard, fold-up 3D Wacky?

I've thought about how cool that would be for an insert, but figured what they could insert into packs would be too small.  A binder insert could be a really nice size though!  The cigarette titles could be actual size!  A cereal title could come out looking like a sample box.

Can the cost of each binder be mentioned or is that a wait and see situation?

Any chance of both the Postcard and Old School Binders being sold by Topps at the Philly show with no shipping and a discount for buying both at the same time?  That would be cool and help bring more people to the show.

The Post Card Binders are no longer listed in the Topps Store Wacky Packages Page.  :o

Guess they sold out the quickest of the 3. There was definately the need to put those Postcards somewhere because of their size.

Lets see if they make more now...  :-X
