I assumed it was camera flash. They are unusually very centered as I have stacks of punched diecuts and a good many of them had very off center diecutting hence the black order around the punch isn't symetrical.

could be the real deal, but I am not convinced. Good point on the centering.

What do you think of the winning bid for that group of punched die-cuts? $526.61 with shipping. My personal opinion is that's an awful lot to pay for PUNCHED cards but what do I know?
-
If it's a real cracked Animals, I can see a punched copy of that alone selling for $400-$450, so not too out of line.
-
Really?! But they're.....punched out! I don't have any die-cuts of my own but if I was looking for one it would be one that is intact, as issued. I realize some people will settle for lesser grade to complete a collection but that does seem extreme. Do you think punched out die-cuts in, say EX, are worth more than lesser grade full cards? I know, worth is in the wallet of the beholder.....

But realize that Cracked Animals and Ratz die cuts will command a premium price, even if punched.

I guess that makes sense since they are rare to begin with. Copies of Detective no. 1, etc. still bring incredible prices even in relatively terrible condition; I would not buy them in that condition but that doesn't mean no one else would.

Yeh bro, I had no idea how scarce Cracked Animals and Ratz were before rejoing the hobby back in '99. Other titles to look out for:
Run Tony
Spit & Spill (w/Spic & Span logo)
Pupsi
oh hell........I tire.....you can look up the rest! lol.

Punched Ratz and Cracked pretty regularly sell for $200 or more each.
