Little confused. Maybe Topps' high pinnacle proofreading team at work again?
No mention of Bonus stickers in Pack Config; they mean bonus but wrote base (or vice versa)? Need to buy 3 packs to have a chance at full set (to get 6 stamps and 6 stickers)?

I don't need a complete set of the stamps or trading card size versions of the postcards. Just a few of each bonus item is fine with me!
I only ordered one set, and hopefully I get the Jayday bonus over the Inverted Ajerx.
However, if they are numbered TS like previous bonus cards, I may have to track down the one I didn't get.

I guess what I meant was people who bought a bunch of sets already might have purchased more to get more of the great sketch cards. Not saying the sketches are what is driving ALL of the sales, because the postcards themselves are fantastic and a welcome return!

How could a member look at the sketches posted in this discussion and not want a chance at pulling one and it even seems a miscarriage of justice calling the cards a mere sketch.
The postcards have always been an anomaly of sorts in that it isn't your typical retail or online box set and I think that difference really resonates with people. Packaging the cards in a sealed artified (if that's a word) envelope was a nice way to mix things up and it'll be interesting to see how these are packaged.

Agreed, but it just got kind of complicated since we started using a lot more sketch card artists. But I did manage to draw a few of each new title for the set, so keep your eyes peeled!

Speaking of sketch cards, can someone please explain to me what "return" sketch cards are all about? I guess I don't understand why some of the nicest sketch cards I've seen are not randomly packed like the rest of them.

Happy to help shed some light on this! Return cards are the blanks each artist is given as a part of their compensation for creating sketch cards. It's always a very small number compared to the pack inserted cards. The artist is free to sell or trade them to collectors beyond the product release, so we tend to take a lot more time on them because there aren't the same kinds of deadlines. As a result, the quality is typically much better than (but not always!) a pack pulled sketch.

Weird. I went back and checked mine. It shows shipped on the 16th with expected receipt of today (5/17/23).

My first order arrived! They come in a very nice box!! Going to be a pain to mail, though. Out of 10 sets, I got 4 upside down Ajerx cards, 6 Payday cards, 2 sets of regular sized cards (with dupes to build a third), and no sets of stamps - I got skunked on #5. But, I have an order coming tomorrow, and one on Saturday.

Yes, all done! I am considering starting a new thread since this set is so different - even larger cards, nothing signed or numbered, no bio cards or "TS" cards.

Yep, sometime after 9 PM the Saturday delivery date just went away, and hasn't been replaced yet.

For the last several days, I have been getting shipping notices from FedEx that say "Your delivery is scheduled for tomorrow." I guess it's a moving target, but I wish they would be totally realistic and say something like "Your delivery is scheduled for sometime in the next 5 days" instead of continuing to string along the eventual recipient of the package (in this case, me).

I guess I didn't sign up for the email or text notices, but mine are traversing the east coast: Pompano Beach, FL to Ocala, FL to Concord, NC to Staunton, VA to Martinsburg, WV. Now FedEx is saying it will be delivered today, but they're still 5 hours and 250+ miles from me.

Also late to the party... My shipment was hung up in L.A. for 3 days. I posted "needs" in the trading post but will probably have to go the eBay route to finish the set.
I was a little disappointed that the Jenny Stamp was regular card sized. I must have misread or wasn't paying close enough attention to the description. If it was 5" x 7" postcard sized I would have framed that one immediately!

The chance of pulling one was part of the reason I ordered so many sets. Maybe one of the artists can confirm that I wasn't on a snipe hunt? Did Topps tell a whopper??

There is one on ebay now. Apparently you have to look through the postcards in each pack to see if a 5x7 sketch is nestled among the postcards.

I actually DID that for the first order. Was too tired last night, and was planning on doing that today. I know for sure that yesterdays sets didn't have a sketch in front or back......... There's still hope!!

But wouldn't no sketch in the silver pack alert you that there was a 5x7? I highly doubt there are 2 sketches in a pack.

Sorry Pat. I dont have a lot of additional information, but hopefully this helps:
I cant say how many 5x7s I drew but I can tell you my hand was pretty cramped by the time I finished drawing them! And yes, there were a few montage sketches.
Don't know the number of sets made, but I know there were lots of sketchcard artists, if that's any indication.
As, for the sketch card collation, I have no idea whether a collector might get more than 1 sketch with their set...

Finally opened my lone set and really enjoy this edition of the postcards. I especially appreciate the homage to Jay Lynch with the Net Wt Um Tut Sut line. Great stuff as always!!

Its hard to put a price on in-demand discontinued products. What I don't like is when people double the price of still being made products. Seems like people prey on this. But, get off your butt and do some work and find the best price instead of settling.
C'mon John, did you really think you were going to find a deal after the fact?

You have a choice, buy it -or - not.
If no one buys them, then the "profiteers" will stop buying since they can't make a profit. If they stop buying, then Topps won't make as much money. If Topps doesn't make as much money, they may stop making Wacky Packages altogether. So drop cable and buy some Wacky Packages, even if you have to "pay the profiteer."
- Or - Pat (Raw Goo) will give you a better deal on a set, and you can support a forum member who's not a profiteer.

I already purchased a set of the 2023 stickers, I somehow got wind of those (probably here). Bought several boxes, didnt complete a base set, but was able to sell and trade my way to a complete base set. Topps sends me emails about tons of baseball cards (i buy none) but no emails about wackys (which I sometimes buy,) Go figure. I have to think they would sell a ton more Wackys with some kind of retail store model, but who knows what costs are associated with retail distribution.
