I was looking through some of my collection and it got me thinking that with Wacky Packages now only being online/print on demand we no longer see promo cards for upcoming sets. Such as Old School, Attacky Packages and even Monthly sets. It would be cool if Topps were to start including promo cards in the sets purchased online. For example we could get a promo card for the upcoming Old School 10 set or even a promo for the additional Old School sets coming out as indicated by David (slamjim). Just my thoughts. I always liked having Promo cards as an additional item with my sets. I guess the same could be said about wrappers and display boxes or sell sheets. They are all nice items that make a set feel complete.

I miss promo cards as well.
You know what I also miss? Buying a new Marvel or Star Wars simple base card set for under $20.
The prices are through the roof on these. I can't touch a 100-card 2021 Star Wars Galaxy base set for under $60 shipped!!

Promo cards aren't the only thing that disappeared in Wackys.
Rainbow foil cards disappeared after ANS6 in 2007, classic foil cards after ANS7 in 2010, and bonus cards after 2014 S1.

I also miss lenticular cards.

great call-back to the promo cards.
That would be pretty cool to get an extra like this from time to time

Would be cool if Topps would licence Wacky Packages out to Sidekick so they can do a Kickstarter project. Worked well for Mars Attacks and the quality of the work is top notch. Wax packages. Keep it Old School as a base set. Do some fun inserts. Foils, patches, cloth etc. Would do well IMO.

No. Topps cards for major card sets have been extinct for a few years now, with the exception of the few they hand out at card shows or conventions.
Haven't seen a Wacky Packages or Star Wars promo card in years. So if anything, Topps is to blame for being cheapskates. LOL
